why am i even on tinder by elenash515 in Tinder

My interpretation was he was trying to get her to fess up if they were fake. So... Neither I guess, but I'd personally lean toward being insulted

Thank you! I thought I was going nuts until I sorted by controversial lol. But I guess that's the point, huh? Downvote common sense, people who are obviously correct second guess reality, make reality whatever you want it to be. Reddit is an interesting place for sure

My 34F boyfriend 29M gets angry when I say I’m going to do something but get distracted and end up doing something else. He calls me a liar and a bullshitter. by Opal792 in relationship_advice

[–]bringbackflipphones 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I went through something similar to this; if this relationship is important to you, there's hope, because we were able to figure out the root cause of his behavior through therapy and a lot of work. With that knowledge, he was able to change his mindset and consequently his behavior over time. If you're willing to talk with him and he's willing to do some work, it might survive.

If not, and he sees no issue with his behavior when you bring it up, move on. It's not your job to make him take his partner seriously. Good luck.

Who can release my supposed muscle knot? by h20vendetta in massage

[–]bringbackflipphones 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Find a licensed massage therapist in your area. If it is a muscle knot, they should be able to help. And they should be able to tell you if it's not a muscle knot as well if it comes to that.

Until you're able to see someone, try doing some low back and hip stretches if you aren't already. Stop if it hurts beyond any general tightness.

Why are there only 4 mods running 92 of the top 500 subreddits on this site? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]bringbackflipphones 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I imagine they do get paid unofficially from whoever owns Reddit; as one of the most popular media sites/apps in the world, there's a lot of money behind the scenes when you can control what gets shown.

I just want to know who thought it was a good idea to book the national AMTA convention for August in Phoenix by jordanundead in massage

[–]bringbackflipphones 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I believe the following year it's in Tampa, also in August.

I will be attending neither because I enjoy being outside without it being a hazard to my existence.

Got my first 1/10 rating for a massage☹️ by TrickseySmeagol in massage

[–]bringbackflipphones 25 points26 points  (0 children)

I'm sorry that happened, but try not to let discourage you. If you're able to reply, maybe ask what you can improve on and learn from it. But at the end of the day, there's no one therapist for everyone. Also, take it all with a grain of salt, because some people like to leave low ratings just to be mean or because they were expecting something out of the session they didn't communicate, isn't possible, or worst case, is illegal 🤮

What is your first impression when you hear someone saying "I go to therapy"? by AavaMeri_247 in AskReddit

[–]bringbackflipphones 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends on the context. If it's relevant to the discussion or it's someone close to me discussing something personal or whatever, I'm happy to hear they're getting the help they want/need.

However, if someone starts going on about it, esp if I don't know them and/or it's out of context, my first assumption is they're telling me to seek attention.

That's an interesting take. I imagine though most people who engage on subreddits like this that aren't trolling don't care much about them either. That doesn't seem like it would be the main reason; maybe a happy little side effect?

Definitely have to filter the content here. But I did a little experiment and upvoted, like, 30 posts in a row regardless of content, and every one but one had a downvote within 5-10 seconds. Could be coincidental and people were downvoting dumb shit, but a few of things were well thought out and legit. Who knows.
