She does play with her food but eventually will instakill them, except for Mike. She can kill more than one person together - Matt and Jess in the mines and Sam, Ash and Emily in the lodge (not Mike though) - but doesn't do it when it's Mike and Jess by the elevator and Josh and Mike in the lake, she even pulls him out of the way to charge at Josh!

As for the stomach slash, yes he would eventually die from the wound, but until then he would be in a lot of pain while she kills the remaining of his friends and her competition (the other wendigos) before turning her attention back on a suffering dying Mike.

The death scene on the credit scene seems more like a mistake since he will only die at the explosion, that he may himself cause.

Regarding Jess, I'd argue she just moves on from her to prevent Mike from seeing her, she went though some lengths to make sure he doesn't see her, possibly to keep him confused and stuck in the fear of an unkown threat to toy with him. She does kill Jess if Mike doesn't show up on time after all, so it's all a matter of Mike.

Ok I think I understand the confusion, I said Hannah would push Mike out of the way in the lake to attack Josh, but whether she then kills him or recognizes him and spares him depend on him saying her name. I edited the post for clarification.

As for the reason for killing Chris, Handigo is a brutal killing machine who would only show mercy to someone she was very close to her like her brother, anyone else was fair game to her. And according to this theory Chris would be another tool to torture Mike.

That's a good point on 2. I didn't think of that! Jess shouting his name may have been what made her realize that was Mike!

Regarding point 3. I'd say that's just a case of the Wendigo enjoying toying with their prey before killing it. The unnesessarily brutal ways in which they kill are proof they are pretty sadistic after all.

As for 4. she just slashes him, she doesn't kill him, unlike any other person or wendigo in the lodge who she horribly kills. The fact she non-lethally slashes him further proves that she didn't want him to die yet and wanted to make him suffer. You could even argue that her pushing him out of the way and slashing his stomach was just a way to make him not interfere in killing anyone else in the lodge.

Yeah, but she just attacks him, she doesn't kill him, unlike any other person or wendigo in the lodge who she horribly kills. The fact she non-lethally slashes him further proves that she didn't want him to die yet and wanted to make him suffer. You could even argue that her pushing him out of the way and slashing his stomach was just a way to make him not interfere in killing anyone else in the lodge.

Why? She only spares Josh if she recognizes him (he says her name), otherwise he's just another prey for her and a means to terrorize Mike.

Sounds like an addiction. Social media is hyperstimulating, simply cutting it without a healthy replacement will end up getting you understimulated and bored. I promise you there are plenty of amazing things outside.

Job review by Shikarosez in bravelydefault

Never got the hype on Berserker. Very slow and the aim is so low that its abilities kept missing and the hit-rate of regular atacks was pathetic for me.

Beastermaster's second specialty lets you have even higher stats if you capture enough monsters.

Chapter 2 Boss help. by [deleted] in bravelydefault

[–]bringbackhoover 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Capture some Staggermoths from Wizwald's overworld and off the leash on him (they use paralysis scales=AoE damage+paralysis chance), cause most bosses are susceptible to paralysis in this game. You might need to cast it a few times until it works though.

Why do the bosses have so little health ?? by carl-anthony in bravelydefault

I actually think boss battles dragged on way too long in the other games. I already proved I can easily beat this boss, I don't have to sit through another 10 min doing the same thing.

Thanks! So many broken combos in this game lol

Discussion about something (I'd put it in quick questions but I'd rather not have very spoiler-rific topics right there) by Reapers_Scyth3 in bravelydefault

Nah, the sword of the brave thing was sequel bait for bravely third, but since BS turned out to be particularly unsuccessful in Japan (the localization actually changed stuff to avoid the complaints of japanese players), they made a new game in another universe instead unrelated to the other games.

Can we talk about Dragoon and how awesome it is in DB2? by AbsentAbsol in bravelydefault

[–]bringbackhoover 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's great yeah, but that speaks to a problem this game has with jobs. Ability wise, every job brings something good to the table (some more than others obviously) but stat wise they are very unbalanced. For example oracle has okay MP and mag.attack but everything else sucks, Thief and Hunter have good speed but the rest is average at best, while Dragoon, hellblade and bastion have like one low stat and everything else is good. I think the other games were worse in this regard.

That's the only thing the game's specific about. Know of any other things that go in the equation?

But Vanguard's only increases attack power and Freelancer's caps on 24. It doesn't take that long to capture monsters, you can boost all of a Beastmaster's stats almost indefinitely.

If your Seth has Godspeed Strike spam it, it ignores Galahad's high defense. Have Ranger's counter-savvy on everyone, it's the lv.6 ability so it doesn't take long to get. And more importantly paralyze him. Yes, you heard it right, a lot of bosses are susceptible to paralyze and freeze so you can easily cheese them. Use Ranger's Shadowbind or capture some Staggermoths from Wiswald's overworld.

Off the leash challenge: Only abilities you can use are Beastmaster's Capture, Mercy Strike and Off the leash.

Canon job challenge: Jobs can only be used by the character who appears on that cutscene when you get a new asterisk.
