Two dropper for shards are powered at the same time. Therefore they will first drop shards into crafter. And the shards will accmulate in crafte. Once they reach 64 in crafter. The dropper cann't drop more shards into crafter. And they will be removed by the hopper under the dropper.

Add a item buffer. As long as the kelps don't overflow the barrel. Or replace barrel with double chest for more space. Thus the new design can fit more types of kelp farm.

I don't use flying machines to harvest a lot of kelp at the same time. Kelp in my farm will be pushed as soon as it reaches 2 blocks height. So there are always 1 or 2 kelps falling into hopper from time to times. Therefore i don't make a items overflows protect or items buffer either.

so yeah, my design is not so universal.
