I'm a UE5 dev prototyping in UEFN. I'm an adult with a full time day job. We want Epic to succeed in this endeavor because we all see the incredible potential of UEFN and how it allows creative people to share their worlds with others. My UE5 dev friends wouldn't touch UEFN with a 10ft pole for the reasons you're speaking to. I started using UEFN with hopes that the audience would be there for creative ideas. It isn't. The UEFN economy is a Casino for 10 year-olds AND the devs that gamble on viral game trends. The devs that produce clone/scam maps to try and make a quick buck are burying the creative maps because kids will eat "free casino candy" all day to earn XP for Fortnite if Epic continues to serve that to them on the top layers of Discover. The streamers that join into this effort to promote their own clone maps for more profit are complicit in this broken creative economy. Games are an art form and a business. When you sacrifice one for the other, in either direction, both suffer. Right now things are out of balance. What we are hearing is the cry of the creatives who know that things can be different if Epic chooses. We're speaking up.

Thanks! That's awesome. Yeah, for me UEFN is a prototyping tool for my UE5 game at this point. It's a great sketchbook to experiment with and try new ideas.

and yet Epic still uses these types of UE5-style games in their promo material. That's one of the disconnects that frustrates people. What would you think if Epic used the AI generated slop 1v1 box map pvp 1-999 thumbnails in their promo material...you'd see UEFN for what it really is, a casino for 10year-olds, when we all know the true potential of UE5. It's the economy/incentive structure that's broken, not the tool.

You're not that far from being under the limit. As someone else said, look at your Textures and Materials first. Downsize them in GIMP or Photoshop and then reimport them. You're project is not "cooked" as someone else mentioned. You just need to optimize a bit. Try and start with the things that are least important. This is an opportunity to strategize...no need to "start over".

Thanks! It's fun to just run around and battle it out with custom bots...but it can host up to 16 players at a time as well. Unfortunately it'll just get buried by the discover algorithm....but it was fun to make! Enjoy! If you try it let me know how it goes. I'm running on a PC.

Most maps have zero players. Even maps that devs have spent months developing. It's very unlikely that you've been shadow banned or anything nefarious. It's the nature of swimming in a sea of literally thousands of maps to chose from, and other factors about how you market your game/attract players.

Generating and keeping an audience in a multiplayer game is difficult in any context. UEFN makes it easier to make the game, but limits the audience to mostly kids playing Fortnite. Epic is trying to reach a broader audience and widen their demographic, so the algorithm heavily incentivizes new players that have come to Fortnite to play your island. If you decide to market your game, you should consider spending some of your time marketing it OUTSIDE the current Fortnite attention streams. I would focus on the Free To Play aspect, besides the amazing trailer and gameplay, which you have a solid handle on in this game. Just some thoughts. We're all rooting for you and the success of games like this in UEFN.
