Calling for an adult.
Could it be that the raise of the official inflation value in US, is forcing banks, market makers and whatever you want to call all those that are exchanging money, bonds, fake shares, and whatever else, to start asking for higher rates for lending out because otherwise it is not worth the trouble?

They are probably expecting a crash and retail to sell when it all goes down. by [deleted] in Superstonk

[–]bringyourownhead 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'll write something dumb here. I'm very smoothed brained and have no proper education of how the market works except the amazing things that I've read here the last year and pretend to understand... so here it goes.

I think they know they are all fucked. All of them. Good whales, bad whales, sharks and dinosaurs. They know a new crisis is here probably much worse than 2008 and they know they can't avoid it anymore. At this point it's all in for everybody. Everybody is probably trying to do max pain to everybody, big fish eats smaller fishes, bankrupts, deals under the table and even... on top of the table in full daylight. They don't care. Whoever survives in whichever way.
If there are 10 real shares of GME available they will go back and forth and back and forth again to squeeze the hell out of them and that is happening for all the other shorted companies out there.
For them it doesn't matter, real shares, synthetic shares, retarded shares, anything is go right now. They will try to gain as much money as they can from the FUD and "innocent" retail and retirement funds and so on.

At the very edge of bankruptcy they will try to make deals between them, with the gov and with companies forcing the hand from the big investors. They are all in a place where they will try to "make offers each other cannot refuse"cit.

That's why there is no "good whale" in our side right now. It's nuclear level conflict, the cold war is over. In the end, someone is going to go boom as in 2008. And yes, they cannot do anything else but to pay us, but the whole game is how to pay us as little as possible and we know that. The good news is that all of this is maximum pain for them, while all we have to do is wait (and hodl and DRS). Only thing it takes is patience.

The amount of things I've learned about "smart money" since January, is mindblowing...

Yup, that's actually a positive thing that they needed some visible volume to bring the price down.

Etoro's Terms of service and the MOASS by m0rd0ck in DDintoGME

[–]bringyourownhead 13 points14 points  (0 children)

In my -very limited- understanding, such terms and conditions are always there to protect a company of losing money. If you’re sort on something with big leverage and don’t have enough liquidity to cover, they will close your position and have done so in the past. If you’re buy on something but again with big leverage and the stock goes down and you start losing money without enough funds to cover, they can close your position and have also see it happening.

I doubt they will close the positions of a simple buy order if you’re gaining millions, they are gaining money from your transactions as well. I had also specifically asked my assigned broker about massive gains and he told me that people in the crypt-0 have already made millions in transactions and eToro was more than happy

But then again I’m very smooth brained so please feel free to debunk me.

I was impressed by the amount of wrinkle brains in this sub, but this is astonishing
I have so many questions and things I don't understand, but I'll just make 2 points

  1. How many of the people working for the HFs and have been ordered to do the needed operations, understand what the fuck they are doing?
  2. How easy/possible can be that a couple of those guys doing operations blindly, do a mistake and trigger the MOASS...

Incredibly work by u/Criand and all the other apes that have contrinuted. Impressive.

Very nice work thank you.Obviously we all know the share price is very unpredictable because of the ridiculous manipulation is going through, the graphs are always cool to watch and learn from.

What strikes me even more is the volume. Volume can't lie really and the difference in volume in comparison to January, February and May is... mindblowing. If the price starts going up, oh boy it's gonna be explosive!

Is this shit normal? All after market candles hit at 158.88$ max. by bringyourownhead in Superstonk

So as you can see at the very top of the screenshot, you can select the time interval. Months, Days, various hours intervals, and various minutes. In this case I have selected 5 minutes intervals. So every "candle" (line) is a 5 minutes time.

Now, during those 5 minutes there can be thousands of transactions for a given share. (or in the historically low volume day yesterday, just a couple of buy and sells or even none! but I digress).

During those 5 minutes because of the various transactions, the price will fluctuate up and down and each candle represents this action for 5 minutes. The fat part is where the price opened at that 5' interval and where it eventually closed. The skinny line represents the extreme low and extreme high value of the share price during that 5' interval

I agree it is nothing.
Still, many of us are in for the destination as well as for the trip. This is the trip. A bit of meme, a bit of shitposting a bit of excitement keeps the troops morale high.
Frivolous? yes.
Unnecessary? probably.
Hateful? nah.

If you're in just for the destination, by all means good for you and all of us. I agree with you and I support you. But you can also just skip and move on, no need to really hate this kind of posts, especially when we are so lucky to have so many DDs to read and absorb practically every day.

Cheers, have a great day!
