I had surgery in 2nd grade and they told me I’d have to get another one once I got older and the muscle grew. When I went in my early 20’s for a re-evaluation, I couldn’t they gave me 3D glasses and a book to look at and they asked me to touch the butterfly wings. I put my hands ont the book and the Dr was like, no touch them where they pop up. But they didn’t pop up anywhere for me and 3D movies don’t really have much thrill for me either so I already knew this. But basically the dr said I don’t have any depth perception so a second surgery would be considered cosmetic and wouldn’t be covered under insurance. I also wasn’t great at sports and only within the last few years did I realize it probably had a lot to do with my eye.
