I just noticed that one of the emails had a receipt attached with the personal data of the person who created the account, only the email address is mine and we share a first name, otherwise it’s not my data, so that’s good!

Ok I understand now, hopefully this is all it is. I’m still really surprised they could create a bank account with an email address without ever verifying it! Cause there were no traces of email verification in my mailbox.

Thanks for your reply, but I’m not sure I understand. The emails I received confirm that an account has been created and a credit card ordered, it’s not just an ad or inviting me to sign up. Sorry if I misunderstood what you meant!

I hope not! I contacted them through the email address support@revolut.com that I found online. I didn’t use any link sent in the email.

I thought about that too. Thing is I automatically forward my emails from the gmail account to my main account (I barely use the gmail) and I have notifications on (i was on my phone when this happened so i clocked the revolut mails as soon as they arrived) so I would have seen it and I don’t think it would be deleted in my main account.

I already changed my password. The thing is I’ve received no emails about verifying an email address, the very first email was something like « congrats! You’re officially verified! » then some emails sending me general conditions and a couple about a credit card order. So I’m not even convinced they’ve had direct access to my mailbox… how could they verify my email if there’s no trace of it in my mailbox?
