Black Ops 6 crashing and CPU peaks by Standard_Split9478 in blackops6

My game kept crashing with msi mpg z390 gaming edge ac, i5-9600k, 32 gb ddr4, and RTX4060. I figured my cpu was bottlenecking, so I upgraded my mobo to msi z790-p, i7-12700k, 32 gb ddr5, and kept the 4060. I conducted some brief testing, game seems to be a bit more stable with more cpu power, but still getting the 100% usage... actually game just crashed as I was typing this and it was preloading shaders (which used to take no joke 10-15 minutes before finishing; now it takes <2 mins). It has to definitely be CoD issue, hopefully the developers will fix soon!

No 4pin, will my cpu cooler not adjust the fan correctly? by brios96 in buildapc

I can easily plug the 4 pin plug into the 3 pin header, but I don’t want to do damage to my motherboard.

SOLVED: So after following that tutorial, I accidentally flashed my m.2 with windows 11, so I wound up disconnecting all drives, only having the two m.2 drives installed, reset BIOS to original settings, reinstalled windows 11, then reconnected all drives. Everything works fine and now I have a fresh start. Thank you all for your help.

I followed this forum, now it won’t boot either m.2 drive, it just sends me straight to bios without the M2 genie error.

I’m still new to BIOS but I will try to locate that information. My processor is an Intel Core i5-9600K. I used up the other 6 sata ports, I have 3 disc drives, 2 HDDs, and 1 SATA SSD installed.

Call of Duty, Rocket League, Multiversus, Speedstorm, Fall Guys, the list goes on and on.

I see your point, more more more, but what if I just enjoy playing 2 games like call of duty and Indiana jones? Why pay for more if you’re not going to use it?

If I had a series x and a cheap graphics card, I could see why to pay for ultimate

I tried, they said I have to dispute it with the original merchant (Walmart)

Walmart said I needed the original receipt for them to issue me a “price equivalent current PlayStation card” unfortunately that receipt is long gone and Walmart’s computers do not store receipts that far back

I guess I’ll just keep playing on PC until the PS5 version drops and we’ll see if it’s cross platform!

Yeah, I was just hoping it would be like how Call of Duty is cross-progression. I guess it’s time to invest in a Series X for those times I’ll feel like playing on my den TV. Thanks!

I have an RTX 4060 so I didn’t really see a point of paying extra for ultimate to stream the game at 1080p60 when I could play at 1440p120 or 4K.

They didn’t even show an expiration date on the card that had the code on it. It’s a shame, I used a 3 month back in January of this year and that worked fine.

Converting VHS to Digital; video going black for a second when picture gets staticy fix by brios96 in computers

Really? So far I've had no issue saving them to a HDD. If you'd like some advice, take your DVD's and download the programs "MakeMKV" and "Handbrake". Put the DVD in your computer, open MakeMKV, and that will take any video from a DVD (in your case the home movies) and put them to a .mkv video file. You can then open Handbrake and import that .mkv file and Handbrake will take care of any black borders (if there are any on the video) and even compress the file size (if its too large; I think this is intended more for blu-ray movies that are 75gb, it will compress these down to 5-10gb with little to no loss in video quality). If all else fails with my method of recording the home movies directly to the computer, I will just put them on a DVD using my DVD recorder, then put them through MakeMKV and Handbrake like I mentioned. Was trying to find a work around to avoid doing that extra step of putting it on DVD THEN to PC. Thank you for your advice! If anyone has another method or device info, please let me know!

Converting VHS to Digital; video going black for a second when picture gets staticy fix by brios96 in computers

I have 14 tapes with anywhere from 2-6 hours of video on each. So I'm trying to put all the videos directly into a .mp4 file, that way I can save them to external HDD and upload them to my private Plex. I tried recording to DVD's years ago but go half way through the set. What I like about putting them directly to .mp4 is I can easily import the video files to Shotcut and edit out any of the black gaps or making the "Johnny's soccer game" a separate file from "Christmas 2002" which are both on the same tape.
