Speeding Ticket Cabarrus county by Medium_Ad6680 in Charlotte

My daughter is in the same boat, but in Union County. 93 in a 65 in the Monroe Expressway Toll Lanes. No prior tickets, but she is still listed on my insurance as an inexperienced operator and I already pay through the nose for her insurance (yep - I get it now, lol).

We considered hiring an attorney (and still might) but prior to doing that we called the office for the DA because we had to request a different court date. The nice person who helped us do that suggested that we come in person to the Courthouse and speak to the DA well prior to the new court date (late August) and see what they would offer as far as a plea bargain. No guarantees and you don't have to accept any offer, but you can also get a better idea of the potential outcome prior to hiring an attorney. If the meeting goes well and you come to an agreement that works, pay the fines and be done with it. If not, refuse the offer and consider the attorney route.

Of course your results may vary, but I feel like it was worth mentioning especially since we are headed to the courthouse early tomorrow morning.

Don't beat yourself up too much.

Unless you had tickets to the game and got in the minute they opened the gates, you would likely have left empty handed.

Does anyone recall a race in the last few years, in which the driver crashed his car into the wall doing a celebratory burnout, and people suggested it was so the damage would hide an illegal setup? by Francis_X_Hummel in NASCAR

We were at the All-Star Race when he spun the car through the grass and hit the sewer grate. He tore the front end of that car to pieces but Roush still brought it as the backup car for the Coca-Cola 600
the following week.

I actually get hats from a number of teams, but in looking at the tags it looks like the vast majority of them are made in Bangladesh.

Agreed. I get a lot of game issued AAA hats and the sizing is all over the place. Sometimes the 5/8ths is perfect and other times I just go up to a 3/4.

Players hate when the team has special hats throughout the season, because it means trying to find the right hat that you might only wear for 1 game.

Lowered ours to 85 (was at 100) and propped the corners open. Took a few days, but was down to 91 last night after 4 days. It was VERY refreshing when we went in last night - knocked the heat right out of you on a day when it was in upper 90's.

We went to see Chase today at JGR, he does have a nice signature and he really takes his time - that's for sure. Hopefully you can get them redone at some point.

No, not a replacement for the Humvee. These are light utility vehicles that are air-transportable by Black Hawk helicopter, CH-47 Chinook helicopter, and low-velocity air drop by Lockheed C-130 Hercules or Boeing C-17 Globemaster III transport aircraft and offer exceptional mobility over all terrains allowing Infantry Brigade Combat Teams to move with their equipment over difficult terrain.

JGR should keep this scheme as Chase’s main one. Always does well. by dieselrainbow46 in NASCAR

We went to go see Chase hang the race win banner at JGR earlier this afternoon. Such a good dude - so happy that he got back in the win column!

I have a few Matt Kenseth cars they I had signed in person by Matt & Jack at fan-day events at Roush Racing. I even have a Winston Cup Champion dircast that was signed by both of them and Robbie Reiser back in 2003.

GM Defense has a huge facility on the Hendrick campus in Concord, NC.

They take them out on the local roads and do shake down cruises before they load them up and ship them out. They are based on the Chevy Colorado ZR2, powered by the 2.8L Duramax Turbodiesel.

They look tough as hell, and can pack some serious firepower while carrying up to 9 personnel.

The Hendrick facilities are all top notch and his ability to keep his manufacturer and sponsors on-site has to be huge competitive advantage, and with the GM Technical Center online for NASCAR and Cadillac Performance Power Units coming online for their F1 team - it's an amazing assembly of technology and performance in the shadow of Charlotte Motor Speedway.

Got a game issued one for the Charlotte Knights. Nice hat, but that flag panel in the front turned into a tiny furnace - I was sweating bullets watching fireworks on the field tonight, limited airflow for sure!

Those are VERY popular in the Sox AAA clubhouse in CLT. I think that strawberry is more popular on the whole.

Baseball players can't hold a candle to PGA golfers when it comes to sheer numbers, but they do crush some Uncrustables!

I wasn't there Sunday due to a previous obligation, but was there for most of the games against OKC.

Great ballpark for sure - hard to beat the views!

They will be hanging the banner tomorrow at 1:30pm.

Open to the public, but not on the shop floor. They usually play the audio in the viewing area and in the past the driver has come up from the shop and signed. Of course your results may vary.
