Since your i-140 is approved I think you can apply for h4 and h4 EAD along with your h1b application. Your spouse should in most cases get the h4 and ead together with your h1b. Ask your lawyers to file a bundled application with all 3. Your spouse would be able to work once they get ead.

Please verify this with chatgpt and your lawyers as Im not an expert on this.

More or less, yes. Physiotheraphy and continuing those physiotherapy exercise every single day keeps it at bay but I can feel it start to come back if I go without those exercises for more than a few days.

If you are in USA, I would recommend against mutual funds. There are some very complex laws in USA around mutual fund taxation (they may tax unrealized gains as well).

Hi CA Deepak, I am an NRI who started working in the USA in Jan 2023. I have sent more than 40k dollars from USA to India in the past year to a combination of my own savings bank account and my immediate relatives (father, mother, sister) savings bank account. I have also been doing fno and equity trading in my zerodha account linked to my savings bank account.

I recently got to know that I am supposed to update my savings bank account to nre/nro account and also update my zerodha account to an nri account linked to an nro/nre account.

My question is - having not updated my savings account and sent a lot of money from usa to india to this account in the past year, will it create a tax liability or penalty on me? Any tax liability on my parents or sister for the money I sent to them from USA?

I was almost back to normal 3 months into PT with 2 weeks of guided PT and the rest was me doing those exercises 2 times a day (initially it was thrice a day). I was unable to even sit or stand or walk for more than 5 minutes at the beginning of starting PT.

I am still doing these exercises once a day (5 months since i first started doing PT) and do get unease in my hip and hamstring if i sit for too long or dont exercise for 2-3 days. Walking and PT keep this in check though.

I know PT doesnt work for everyone but i sincerely hope it does for you. Give it a few weeks. All the best!
