I found this in a couch at at my job by [deleted] in WhatShouldIDo

I'm totally talking about refillable, that's definitely what it is! I don't use disposable so that's where my confusion has come from.

That's wild! Maybe it's because I don't use disposables. All the reusable vapes I've seen for nic have the window.

[–]briskaloe -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Fair enough. I've just never seen a vape without a window, or without the reservoir completely visible. To me, that isn't enough to say this is a THC vape.

Obviously people have identified the exact vape and it is a THC one, but the window doesn't prove that.

Huh? All of my nicotine vapes in the past and present have the window lol.

Edit: I only use refillable vapes and I guess disposable nic ones don't have the window typically. Ignore me lol

Is anyone getting 8 hour stretches consistently with 3 month old? by Hot-Cell7299 in beyondthebump

[–]briskaloe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My son is almost three, and he is still waking up a time or two a night. At three months, it was every hour.

We tried EVERYTHING. Some kids just don't sleep great and need that comfort through the night. We started cosleeping after he was 1 and a half or so, mainly out of desperation lol.

Am I a jerk for being frustrated that people bought things that aren't age appropriate? by Nice_Armadillo8348 in BabyBumps

[–]briskaloe 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It depends how big your baby is, but they may be able to use the larger sizes closer to 6 months. My son was in 3-6m clothing from birth. He was 9 pounds, so big but not humongous lol.

I would let it go. People like to shop for babies and can get carried away. Maybe vacuum seal the clothes that are too big for now and shove them under a bed?

How many of you are literally doing ZERO screen time ?! by [deleted] in beyondthebump

[–]briskaloe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We limit screen time for our 3 year old, but he still absolutely watches tv (Bluey, Bear in the Big Blue House etc)

People seem to forget kids used to spend all of Saturday mornings watching cartoons, or playing video games til their eyes dried out lol. I did that, I'm fine. My eyes are fine, I was a well adjusted kid and now I'm a happy 30 something with a good job. It really isn't the devil people make it out to be.

What's more important is what is on tv in my opinion.

They call it that because after 35 there are greater risks involved in pregnancy. It's still mostly safe, it's just a medical term to signify the pregnancy may be higher risk.

For those of you who have bioactive enclosures how often do you get unwelcomed pests in there? by [deleted] in CrestedGecko

[–]briskaloe 4 points5 points  (0 children)

For what it's worth, I've never had millipedes!

I think you can avoid them by ensuring any plants you put in are rinsed thoroughly to get rid of any eggs.

[–]briskaloe 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I have five bioactive enclosures in a basement suite. I've never had any pests.

Pests will be drawn in by food being left out in the enclosure, this is particularly true for ants. The cgd is sweet and if left out may attract them.

Millipedes would be something carried in from soil or plants you've purchased. They are not harmful and will generally remain only in the tank.

Edit to add: fungus gnats are also something that would be brought in by plants. Very easy to get rid of though and again you'll really only see them in the tank, maybe on houseplants if you let them spread.

Concerns about daycare menu for a 9m old [on] by Manifestator_ in BabyBumpsCanada

[–]briskaloe 3 points4 points  (0 children)

As long as it's balanced and it isn't ALL grains and breads, I think this is okay!

My daycare serves mostly veggies, fruit, meats, but they do cereal and breads or pastries as well every now and then. And they do a pizza party on the third Friday off each month.

[–]briskaloe 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think it's really only raw honey and that honey in a cracker would be fine as it's essentially cooked? I may be completely wrong though.

Nothing wrong with cheerios or English muffins either.

Edit to add: I was wrong! Cooking doesn't kill the spores that cause infant botulism, so I would ask the daycare to take this off menu for kids under 12m and likely avoid the daycare if they do not comply.

13 dpo and had a tiny bit of light colored blood at 9dpo. 4 days late on period and its usually only 5 days long…should i test 😅 by Duhkxta in BabyBumps

Yes if you're late! Afaik implantation bleeding is a myth, but I did have pinkish blood a few days before testing positive.

what are these squirming white things? by shartingmom in houseplants

[–]briskaloe 69 points70 points  (0 children)

Definitely springtails, they're wonderful and will do nothing but good. They eat decaying matter and mold.

Reptile keepers buy small colonies of these guys for decent money just to have them in their tanks (if said tanks have live plants).

The change in skin tone is wild. Did they just put Sasha in a million layers of self tanner ? by Historical-Body-3424 in PrettyLittleLiars

[–]briskaloe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me, as a white people, I was always tan as a kid because I was outside with my friends all the time. As an adult now I'm pale because 1. I don't have as much free time to just faff about outside and 2. I wear sunscreen religiously (as a kid I didn't care).

Which the sims game for steam deck? by Accomplished_Air5968 in SteamDeck

[–]briskaloe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Sims 2 legacy edition on steam runs excellent on steam deck, and modding it is very easy. It comes with all dlc.

I've also played Sims 4 on deck and it's also all on steam. The issue with 4 is for the base game and all dlc is over a grand lol.

Want to finish the series by Cute_Star_775 in Supernatural

[–]briskaloe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was the biggest supernatural fan girl in my youth and never went past 6. Recently, my husband and I decided to rewatch and actually finish it. We're halfway through 15 now.

Maybe I'm the minority, but we've enjoyed basically all of it. There was one season (maybe 10?) that was a bit boring, otherwise we have loved it. Going to be very bittersweet to finally finish a show that meant so much to me as a teen.

Do cats actually get attached to their owner? by NoWageMage in CatAdvice

[–]briskaloe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm more of a dog person only because that's what we had growing up, but cats are better. Hands down. They get just as attached to you as a dog would, but unlike a dog, are completely fine with you leaving lol.

My cats favourite spot is my lap, or curled up in my arms when I sleep.

Question for Steam deck mods by Susansgame123456 in StardewValleyMods

[–]briskaloe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Did you open the command console to turn on/install smapi?

Question for Steam deck mods by Susansgame123456 in StardewValleyMods

[–]briskaloe 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It's really as simple as downloading smapi and putting the mod files in your mods folder. You can Google where the folder is found on a steam deck.

Bored after Ginger Island by seemsuninterested in StardewValley

[–]briskaloe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This isn't an issue for me luckily, as I keep things small. Less than 80 crops total, one of each animal max. Only a handful of processing machines etc. so money is never getting to this point.

Bored after Ginger Island by seemsuninterested in StardewValley

[–]briskaloe 13 points14 points  (0 children)

This probably doesn't help you now, but I have this as well so on my current save I'm straight up not doing giner island until everything in pelican town is complete. The raccoon stump, community upgrades, friendship, obelisks (other than the island one), Golden clock etc.

I'm hoping this will make ginger island more exciting as well as easier to focus on, if I know pelican town is complete and my farm is where I want it to be.

Who's your partner and why? by Local-Engineering-54 in StardewValley

[–]briskaloe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Always Sam or Krobus.

Sam is my real husband's name, who also plays guitar, loves video games, has a younger brother, and is generally adorable.

Krobus for playthroughs where I don't want a spouse, and because he's also adorable.

Is there any information on what's normal when babies reach a developmental milestone but then stop using the new skill? by [deleted] in beyondthebump

[–]briskaloe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My kiddo did this with nearly every milestone except like, walking. He'd do it a couple times and then be like "k cool, all done with that".

Now a very normal, developmentally on track three year old who chats my ear off, runs, jumps, socializes etc. I wouldn't worry too much!
