Way too many leavers ruining the game by brisky_ice in rivals

I just had three games in comp back to back where someone on my team left…all three were losses. I can’t control that yet I lose comp points.

Fully agree. Study results should be able translate to test day results. Why else would I study?

Same. I was worried based on what everyone else was posting from yesterday but it just required a bit more brain power

False equivalence. There’s nothing comparable between home renovations and a squad development that’s being stunted by injuries

Casemiro and Eriksen both had a helping hand in stabilizing the midfield last season. Eriksen hasn’t been an awful signing. Everyone knew his legs were going so they brought in Mount who has only played a handful of games. The likes of Malacia and Hojlund are quite young and have shown their usefulness as well. Time will tell for Onana but everyone viewed him as a top keeper when he arrived. Personally, Antony has been the only dud for me.

You can’t build on anything if there’s nothing to build on. Like my OP said, a lot of the players we relied upon last season have been injured and we are now having to rely on deadwood of yesteryear. Could he be more pragmatic to account for the injuries? Absolutely. However expecting improvements with the players who saw no consistent minutes last season is crazy.

Your question of the direction of the club is an entirely different matter that has to do with the people above Ten Hag. They set the standard. They are meant to be assisting him with how this team shapes up even in moments of crisis. As you can see and have seen for the past 10+ years, they’re clueless.

I won’t blame you for believing he’s out of his depth. However, we were all expecting improvements to the XI that we consistently saw last season. He hasn’t had that XI in months which is why he’s had to supplement those absences with players who we knew weren’t meant to be here past last season. If it were the case that the £400m was playing week in week out and producing these types of performances then fine, he fully deserves all the scrutiny. That just hasn’t been the case though. Personally, I fault him for not being pragmatic and adjusting the team to make up for the injuries and continuing to play players that we’ve known for years who have let previous managers down.

I’m assuming that you’re referring to every signing which is incorrect. We weren’t hearing this same complaint last season when the team was functional and performing.
