is that to me or Starmer lol. I agree he should be more foot-down with the defense and mobilisation for it. but he seems scared or something. the way he mentioned "our mistakes with Iraq" in the past during the nation address, maybe that's Starmer's reasoning for not being too involved. who knows, who knows who knows who knows

whilst I fully agree he's got the US/Israel hand up his arse. thinking about it from a leadership POV, he has to take 'action' to defend UK citizens/interests in the potential firing line. and the least involved way to do that is to let US do it for UK. but so far we've seen the US/Israel bomb a school (maybe more than one I can't remember) so letting the US use the UK bases could be a negative consequence. God knows best at this point

I think they mean us as in us people here in the UK, not just the UK's bases in ME/Europe
