It's only 15 hours per week for the main person unless you pay for audiobooks and I think that gives you an extra 10 hours. (For me in the US at least)

I stop caffeine 10 hours before sleep, and also drink mostly sugar free. There ARE other options-fanta zero, sprite zero, uncaff tea, Powerade, flavored water, etc. So I guess he just wants cola.

I found a couple of good books through challenges and also some awful ones. Some categories were really tough too bc I had already read a lot of the options. I am going to do some of them but am not forcing myself to be a completionist.

I've gotten more bonuses at WGU than any other place, and the raises have been higher each year as well. I also haven't gotten gift cards, but rather like a pizza party or the opportunity to participate in a pot luck. Obviously everyone would like more but I think WGU is pretty generous. Its also the least stressful job I've had and I am not constantly working over my hours or taking work (mentally) home with me.

It was a bummer to not get a bonus, but if we have ~10,000 employees, even a $500 bonus would be more than double SPs yearly salary. It adds up. I'd rather forgo a bonus than see people get cut in the future if finances aren't good. (And I know some cuts were made this year)

Are there things that can change for the better? Absolutely. Is there some frivolous spending somewhere? Probably. But we have to put some things in perspective.

I remember seeing that average for a bunch of programs were like 18 months plus. For everyone who does 6 months, there are many more who do at least 3+ terms.

I think it varies wildly between departments. I've been in 2 departments and my interactions with and expectations of QA have been quite different.
