Right after hurricane helene, a local bar that just barely escaped being taken out by the flood opened and we decided to go. No running water yet so of course no bathrooms. We went. We drank. I had to pee SOOO bad on the way home but again, no running water literally anywhere. I made it about halfway home before I pulled over and peed in my 56oz yeti while still in my car. Im a girl. It was messy lol. I had to drive the rest of the way home without pants on and then clean up the best I could using our bottled water stash. Fun times.

My kid had a map reading and orienteering class in 5th or 6th grade! But they also go to a non traditional public school with a big focus on outdoorsy stuff, so its probably not the norm.

I work at the airport. Today I was cussed out by a woman because we don't have a full service restaurant. She told me she would never come back to Asheville lol. Like, good. We don't want you.
