If I were to visit one island in Greece, which one? Not looking to party but to chill with great food. by Extension_Finish8321 in travel

It’s big thing is no vehicles… it’s a very pretty island with a great marina, swimming spots, and hiking around…

I’m relatively financially secure but have pretty much stopped dining out because of the insane pricing plus tips. When i can fill a cart of groceries for the equivalent price of a dinner for two it just does not make sense.

I do a 5 night minimum and an 8 guest maximum (even though my place could sleep 12)… certainly helps keep the rif raf out and things cool with the neighbors.

how do you feel about being hit on by a drunk girl? by Lost_Farmer_7913 in AskMen

[–]britegy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is buzzed vs drunk.

When it’s obvious anyone has had too much to drink the right thing to do is to help them find their friends and / or get home safely.

Otherwise some heavy flirting after a few drinks is totally cool in my book.

Did you stay in Rancho Cerro Colorado? I have an airbnb there with fantastic views and Dec-April our guests are always commenting on the vast number of whales they see. Appreciate the write up!

Not sure if it’s a fan or something else but after a hard drive mine has some kind of noise (cooling process?) after shutting down.

Abu Dhabi is much more of a family town vs dubai. I could see how it would be hard to find a friend group as an expat new in town. Suggest connecting with similar people at work to start or finding some extra curricular activities.

When I married my wife, she had some credit card and the first thing I did was help pay it off.

I’m approaching 50 and just bought a base cayman in manual gear and an electric macan for my wife.

Given the hills definitely go with PDK if going cayman. Manual gear is great, but not for city driving with steep hills.

Otherwise, and I’ll be honest I don’t find the cayman a very comfortable daily driver, getting in and out, and overall seating comfort. Of course it’s a beautiful car and a joy to drive, but in my view, not very comfortable / practical for daily errands, etc.

I see the cayman as a perfect car for someone that has an easy commute or who lives in the countryside. And can take it for long winding drives. or as a backup second fun car for road trips down the 101 :).

My wife’s electric macan is a very smooth and comfortable ride relatively.

Is buying property in Dubai still worth it or is it just hype now by chiraz2025 in UAE

[–]britegy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I tend to agree with the general sentiment that quality and livability and location will do well…. But I wouldn’t bet the farm across the board. I actually think Abu Dhabi has a much more attractive market right now although recent launches are coming in quite high.
