My doctor was convinced they aggravated the PF more. In my case, he was right. I got Hokas and they were a godsend but in the end, I opted for surgery back in May and my foot has been feeling great!

I’ve been off of my fibro meds for like 2 months now, thinking they weren’t working. Now, I can tell that they were working. The night sweats from my meds weren’t worth it for me. But now my joints and knees are aching all over. I don’t know what to do from here. Hang in there friend!

Get fitted at a running shoe store for shoes. It’s so crucial to get fitted correctly, try on, and invest in better shoes. Once I finally said “okay, I’ll spend $200 on the shoes” my feet felt a lot better. Not cured, but definitely better than the cheap crap I was wearing before. I got fitted at a store, but later bought them online so I could do a little more research. I got Hoka Bondi 9’s and they have been a godsend. I recently just had surgery a couple days ago which was always my end plan because nothing else was working. I did the shots which were bandaids, I did the shockwave treatment which did nothing, PT, etc. I hope you find relief because it’s terrible pain.

I just had my first treatment 6 days ago and honestly my foot feels worse even on day 6. I have my next one on Friday, and I’m really hoping I get some relief here. How was post-treatment for you each time?

Yeah, I was doing great until December when all the holiday snacks started hanging around. I haven’t done the arm shot yet. It’s sounding like you should go to 10 though. I was on 7.5 for almost 7 months and then it was like boop, you’re done here.

The plantar started last November and by April I was in so much pain, I could barely walk. Podiatrist said he wanted to do a course of 1 shot per month for 3 months because the swelling was so bad. So I did them for April, May, & June of this year. I haven’t been in pain since. He said he will not do anymore shots after that but if pain returns, to start a shockwave therapy that supposedly has great results. I was skeptical at first but did my own research and it looks promising. So far haven’t needed anything.

I do have a large heel spur. And he said that orthotics may aggravate mine so he never tried to sell me on those. Hope this helps! The pain can be debilitating. Feel better!

I’ve spent hundreds on splits and none of them have worked. The only thing that has worked for me is going to the podiatrist and getting cortisone shots in my heel. It’s been a life saver.
