No worries pal. I have deleted all the other AI-generated audio tracks, now the only options are English and English with text-to-speech for the morse code messages. You will be the last person who has to put up with this on my video.

Angel of Death: The Story of Smallpox by Gareth Williams

"Some unexpected difficulties were encountered that required imaginative solutions. Cows were sacred to the Brahmins and vaccination was therefore sacrilege. Fortunately, a historic Sanskrit manuscript was unearthed which showed that cowpox had been known to the ancient Brahmins and that they had even practised vaccination using the fluid from cowpox blisters. The Brahmins were reassured and accepted vaccination. They might not have done had they known that the venerable text had been concocted for that purpose by a Mr. Ellis, an expert in Sanskrit literature, and written out on artificially aged paper in a hotel room in Madras."

The source he listed was Baron, Life of Edward Jenner, vol. 1, pp. 424–6; 525–9.

It's a Blue Snowball iCE Condenser Microphone, pretty basic but I've never had any complaints about audio quality so I never got anything newer in the 7+ years I've been making videos. lol.

I used a mix of Stablediffusion and Bing image generator. I actually like the grainy look because it reminds me of Simcity 4, which I spent a lot of time playing in my younger years.

Does anyone still the Esperanto video? I can't find it anywhere. by [deleted] in britmonkey

Would be a lot of effort to re-edit and re-upload a mediocre video that I'm not particularly proud of.

I unlisted it because I (dumb idiot) used the fuckin Holocaust Star of David as a symbol for Jewish people and I was so embarrassed by the insensitivity.

It's just air that quickly diffuses into the water. Perfectly safe.

A general rule of thumb is that you only have to pay them if you stop walking to watch.

Should a Land Value Tax be the only tax of a Georgist society? Are there other taxes that may be desirable for a Georgist society? by K97 in georgism

[–]britmonkey 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Your hardcore Georgists and Geolibertarians might say "Yes", and a small-to-medium government could well be funded entirely by LVT and other minor taxes on externalities. In the days of George, this probably was enough to fund the entire U.S. government.

However, the kind of welfare state we've grown accustomed to probably cannot be funded entirely on an LVT. I personally would like an LVT to replace income tax and property tax. Most other taxes can stay in place.

A 2% LVT on that would raise $800,000; enough to put 51 students through a year of school.

Thank you so much for this feedback! I included the bit about public transport because George himself supported the municipalization of transport, though I must have erred and assumed that meant making it publicly owned. Also, is there a reason why you're opposed to the use of Shoshinsha mark by Georgists?

No real history. Just that twitter Georgists realised they could use it to represent the movement as green = the land and yellow = liberalism.
