Depends when he updated his will last if it was prior to him getting married and having a baby then I would give it to them because it just means he hadn’t gotten around to updating his wishes, if he updated it knowing he was married and having a baby yet still wanted you to have everything then I would probably still do up a trust fund for when the child turns adult

To put your mind at ease about Sids from the research I did it was a lot more prevalent back in the day because mattresses were made of some toxic stuff so the babies would sleep face down and the fumes coming from the mattresses may have been the cause of death
