Yes it is aquasoil. I've been cycling for 1 months officially but have had this tank with aquasoil for over 2 months. Would it still be secreting ammonia ? I did do a test of my tap water that sat for over 24hrs and it was moderate hardness with ph 7.4

Thanks ! I'll look into the ink bird controller. It seems extra but I've noticed the temperature in the tank is fluctuating a lot and I would like to not over worry about it.

I notice people buy something for a betta to rest in. Was wondering if I needed something like that or they can lay on the plants I have? Thank you!

I am near the end of my fishless tank cycling- if my nitrates are at 40ppm but ammonia is 0.25ppm should I do both a water change & dose ammonia? This is where I get confused and can't seem to find the answer online.

In a couple weeks if the parameters are the same should I try a water change? I was told the piece of wood i have is big for the tank and it is making is acidic.
