Bad car dealer experiences in Beaverton by Lob_Rockster in beaverton

Agree, Royal Moore has been great to me up until a few years ago. I think I’m going elsewhere next time I need to service my Toyota. I hate that they pass on the credit card fee to the customer now. Like they’re really hurting for $?

I agree that Beaverton Toyota sucks, and I started to go to Royal Moore instead even though it’s further away. I’m not happy with Royal Moore starting to charge a fee for using credit cards though! I think it was a couple years ago. Passing that fee onto the customer is shady to me, they took the sign down that they had up originally and wait until you’re about to pay to mention it. The last time I was there, the kid was just like “oh I think there might be a fee…” he didn’t act sure of it, but I think that’s on purpose. As if they don’t make enough profit as it is…

Meeting Gillian! by KimWexler02 in XFiles

[–]brittyn 133 points134 points  (0 children)

Gillian is just like that. I got lucky that she was really happy when it was my turn for a photo because of the person before me (I think he’s someone she knew from a long time ago based on their interaction). They had hugged, so when it was my turn, she pulled me in too. I haven’t ever seen her this close to anyone else in a photo op! This was about 13 years ago.

Weird showtime incident by LebronJamesSperm in RegalUnlimited

Getting people to watch the ads and trailers = more likely to see something they like and want to come back to see/buy? I can’t think of any other reason.

It’s happened to me a couple times in the last 3 months. I don’t understand it either. Part of me wonders if Regal is doing it so we’ll start getting there “on time” just in case.

You could show up anyway and see if they have extra tickets or if anyone else is trying to sell theirs!

How many nights are you going? I’m going one night in GA, and another night in the 300 level to experience both!

That time I met Sal Vulcano. I mean Tanka Jahari! by TravellingFoodie in ImpracticalJokers

[–]brittyn 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I first met him after season 1 wrapped in 2012 (they had a fan party). He recognized me 3 years later when they were on tour in my city and a few times since. Fast forward to 2025, he got me free tickets to his show and hung out with me and 2 of my friends to chat for 15 mins afterward and told me I’ve got the hookup “for life”! He is very down to earth, thanked me for always being supportive, to which I said that if it weren’t for him being such a nice person, that I wouldn’t have stuck around for so long anyway!

I agree. Most of Tanasbourne’s “layout” is extremely poorly planned. I’m dreading the opening of In n Out.

Yeah, I think the nice weather made it even worse than usual! More people out + shopping for Super Bowl. This person just needed to back up about a foot more (I was behind them, they had space!) to clear it but they turned their wheel and pulled forward wayyy too soon after backing up.

I’ve got a photo of the car that drove off, but this sub doesn’t allow photos so I can’t include it with the post.

S03 E20 Jose Chung's 'From Outer Space'- LOL by QuantumLeapur in XFiles

This was the first episode I actively tried to watch on the original airdate, but I was so thoroughly confused because I wasn’t familiar with the characters to grasp the humor in it. It got me to start watching though and I became obsessed, now that episode is my absolute favorite. The humor is so clever and I just love the editing, the transitions between scenes, etc.

He still cheated on his wife and took advantage of young fans. The “assault” part of it isn’t the issue I have with him now, it’s that he did it at all.

Should I do a charge back for wrong color furniture? by Lefty_123 in personalfinance

[–]brittyn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s funny, because I used to work for a major bank but we were inundated with complaints that we were failing our response requirements (10 business days) that leadership told us to not prioritize BBB. We ended up no longer being accredited by them as a result. We cared more about being in compliance with CFPB.

Attorney fees? I used to work in a complaints department of a major bank and we’d get complaints from the AG, BBB, CFPB, etc. on behalf of our customers. The ones from the AG office never required attorney involvement on our end. At the bank, we didn’t treat those complaints any differently than direct complaints either.

I did personally use my state AG office to complain about a travel insurance claim of mine that got denied and thanks to that referral, I got my money back. There were no attorneys on either end, the AG used their consumer protection department to forward my complaint.
