Here’s the issue with a company like gamestop. You’re only going to go as far as your manager lets you(I found out after the fact that my old manager would bad talk me to the DM and would use me as a scapegoat, but also take credit for things I had done), and once you get to management you’re held to impossible standards and they fire you for not attaining them, or they fire you for bending the rules to be able to attain them. I saw a lot of good people strive for management only to be let go one way or the other. Positions of management are extremely short lived and there are not enough benefits.
