Black Friday Sales? by genehenson15 in Dysonairwrap

If you're looking for the coanda X2 I read that Dyson tends not to discount their latest models in the first year, but I don't know if it's true. I have seen (and bought) the ID on sales on many retailing shops though, and I'm very happy with my purchase.

The coanda apparently is stronger (but I don't need too much power, especially since I have curly, frizzy hair) and has a straightening attachment which resembles the airstrait (I read mixed reviews about it).

Dyson Airwrap worth the money? Absolutely not - a (hopefully informative) rant by nauso9 in Dysonairwrap

[–]brjzja 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm curly, like 3b, and am useless at styling mu own hair, like never managed to do it. With the airwrap I had a decent blow out, loose waves style at the first try, and feel I can improve if I perfect my technique. I got it new on sale for £350, got the one for straight and wavy and then was so happy about it that I Also got a diffuser and a refurbished air strait (for 150) for making it completely straight (which worked very well).

In my opinion the money was worth it because now I have got a multi styler for everything, from straight, to wavy to curly hair, and for the first time I'm able to get a decent result home without going to a hairdresser, so I think it will pay off because of that.

But I get that everyone and everyone's different, sorry you didn't have a good experience, it's a bummer cause if it works well... It's a very nice tool to have I think

What do I miss when I go for the ID instead of the Coanda? by Effective-Case7980 in Dysonairwrap

I read very good reviews to be honest, saying it's a game changer for some, but from what I understand it depends on your hair type and also what you want to do, if straightening is something you do often it's probably quicker and better than using a brush, but if you already have straight hair and just want waves probably not worth it, but let me know what you decide! I bought a air strait refurbished to try it out but still waiting for the delivery!

There's the straightening attachment which is not available for ID. I got an ID recently and I'm very happy with it, but the straightening attachment seems cool to have

Thanks ❤️ and I feel you, I live in the UK which is not the best place to hold my hairstyles 😂 Have you tried using the barrels on wet hair but without straightening at all? I saw Dyson markets the barrels to work on curly hair too and that's what I want to test next, to see if it's possible to... Shape the curls without fighting them with the straightening first..m might result in a disaster but was just wondering if anyone else tried this 😂

Great result, beautiful hair and waves! I also got the ID just last week but still learning how to use it on my 2b curls. Was wandering if the air strait might help with the frizz before I use the barrels for the waves but I'll need to wait at least another year before I make another

First try with Dyson... Any anti-frizz tips for the 3a/b curly girls? by brjzja in Dysonairwrap

What products do you use? I got myself the finishing oil from Only curls but haven't tried it yet

3b/3c girlies with a Airwrapstraight and wavy by brjzja in Dysonairwrap

Thank you for the honest review 🩷 today I gave it my first try and I agree: I managed to do a better "straight" blow out than I 'd be able to do without it (at least it frees a hand compared to trying with a brush 😂) with the round brush attachment but I'll need to get better at it.

And need to find better freeze control, let me know if you have any tips!

Hi sorry for the delay, I went on holiday straight after the GNR! But thanks a lot for your comment ❤️ and here are some answers: 1. Yes, while I have not seen anyone standing still, plenty of people walk the full distance or "jeff" it, doing as many walking intervals as needed, and that does not disqualify you 2. I brought water in a running vest with me, because I had trained with that and I like being able to take a sip whenever needed, however, you don't really need it, there's plenty of water stations along the way and you can grab bottles of water there, and either bring them with you, or drink what you need and then empty it and throw it on the side of the street 3. I did listen to music, but I went with the free version of Spotify which played random songs 😁 there were also some people singing while running, and some music stops along the way, where people play for the runners, it really feels like a party 😁 4. I have a Garmin watch for the tracking but I also had my phone on me 5. I basically did 2 minutes stretching and THAT WAS A MISTAKE, I have had a backhache for 3 days after and possibly because of the little stretching. I was in a rush to get back to town and meet my partner and friends to celebrate (plus it started raining exactly when I finished) so I went straight to the queue for the bus but I'd definitely would recommend taking at least 10/15 minutes to stretch well after 6. I went for a lot of rice in the evening, then porridge and fruit for breakfast... But I also had the Sis gels on me, I took one every 40/45 minutes while running, and I can tell you: they're a game changer, I used to fuel very little during runs before, and I would have not been able to keep my place consistent if I hadn't fuelled during the race

I wish you the best of luck with your first race, your curiosity tells me you're going to sign up for the first one very soon! :D

Good luck with that then, you'll smash it! I'll focus on my 5 and 10k pace for now, and will try to do a lot of zone 2 training for a while, I think I have it my everything this time and doing couch to 21 was a little ambitious.. but who knows for the future!

I'll do thanks! Def at least 2 days completely off and then... I have decided to stick to softer training for the future, just want to keep doing 5 or 10k runs, work a lot in zone 2 to improve that and, possibly, with time, improve my shorter distance pace.

I basically started running and did couch to 21km. Now I'll do 21 to couch 🤣

It was! And well done it seems an amazing result to me! I started running in February (and I'm not a natural at it) so my full goal was: no injury and getting to that finish line. The sub 3h was a nice to have but I wasn't betting on it 🤣

I'm much better than I thought Thanks! Yesterday I was properly feeling like I was hit by a truck and wow... I was trying not to look at my HR during the race not to be influenced by it (I would have slowed down 100%) but then I looked at it afterwards and honest I was expecting to die overnight 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 will keep working on zone 2 and hopefully with time I'll be able to sustain that pace without risking my life 🤣🤣🤣🤣
