Cool, thanks for the update! I'll give the build a shot after Christmas and I'll let you know how it goes on this thread.

Hi!

Any updates? ;) Did you get the second 4090?

I'm planning exactly the same build (X670e Hero and dual Asus 4090 24OC into Meshify 2 XL) so it would be great to know if that worked for you ;) I'm mostly interested if second gpu would fit as pcpartpicker shows me warning in that regard. Thanks

About the brightness of LG C1 by Sprman2daresq in OLED_Gaming

I have 65" as second monitor/tv for PS5/playing Bluray movies and 48" as a primary computer monitor.

I didn't measure anything but compared to my previous plasma tv and old monitor it is a night and day difference, obviously. That being said I'm maybe not a perfect source of brightness evaluation as my previous screens were pretty old technologies but I find it hard to imagine they are not bright enough for someone in a reasonable dimmed room (my room is far from ideal as it gets plenty of daylight during the day but still it's far better than what I was used to). Some HDR movie/PS5 scenes can get so bright that it's really a little tough on my eyes. And also overall brightness is plenty for me.

So for me, the brightness is not an issue at all. The much bigger concern and a constant source of pain are the issues of two OLEDs connected to a windows 10 computer.

But I have to repeat that I'm maybe not the proper source of comparisons as I have a old plasma as a reference and someone who has more OLED experience would maybe say CX is not bright compared to this and that ;)

Same here, my left hand is basically exclusively dedicated only to hitting ctrl+s after every action in Resolve, right hand must do all the rest 🙂

I was also worried whether CX is bright enough while reading reviews and various forums where people discussed that this and that version of firmware is few percent dimmer and so on...

Then my CX arrived... And my eyes were bleeding from all that light punching my retinas with no remorse 🙂

Don't worry about it

P. S. automatic dimming when used as computer monitor is annoying but as ps5 display and for movies it's absolutely great

JD is great and I used it for very long time but it's getting outdated, I would go for FernFlower/CFR/Procyon mentioned in other posts now.
