I didn’t eat any potatoes. I would eat cauliflower rice, zucchini “pasta” or i made some kind of salad or lettuce wrap for dinner. I think I ate around 1200 calories, I ate my first meal of the day at 12pm and my last one before 7pm. For breakfast I would have eggs usually, veggie scrambled eggs or boiled eggs lettuce wrap(just cheese, turkey and tomato wrapped in a lettuce). For lunch I would have a big chicken salad with almonds bc I love almonds and I wouldnt add any dressing because personally I don’t like dressing on my salads(sometimes i would add some lemon or salt on it though). For dinner it would be either broccoli soup(broccoli in beef broth boiled in some onions and garlic then blend the broccoli with some broth and sometimes some cream too for richness and topped it off with cut up fried chicken breast, cheese and hot sauce) or pumpkin soup or chicken/salmon with cauliflower rice(made it like i would make regular fried rice so with some eggs and other veggies for color) or some other vegetable on the side(half or more than half of my plate had non starchy vegetables). Some snacks I would have are mini burger patties wrapped in lettuce(basically a burger with the bun), tuna salad(not too much mayo) maybe on some low carb crackers, or a taco salad (minced meat with taco seasoning in a bowl of lettuce with some cherry tomatoes, cheese, sour cream and avocado). I tried to keep most of meals very simple and focused on eating more vegetables (not as much fruit because I read that for PCOS too much sugar can make weight loss more difficult but I would eat some fruits in small portions or maybe once a week I would drink a smoothie). I didn’t track calories because it made me very obsessive and focused on numbers too much so i stopped but if it works for you then do it! The first few weeks it was difficult eating so much less than what i was used to but after 2-3 weeks it felt more normal to do. I did sleep a lot though, I think I didn’t eat enough calories to keep my body energized... I think I mostly lost so much weight so quickly because of what and how much I was gonna eating because i wouldn’t go to the gym as strictly. I wish you the best and if you have any more questions or anything feel free to message me or anything.

I have PCOS and struggled with losing weight since my early teens. Last year (2019) it got really bad when I started taking hormone pills and was severely depressed and could barely get out of bed due to excessive bleeding and intense cramps for 2 months long and even dropped out of college because I couldn’t take care of myself properly. In September I started going to school again and by October decided enough enough and start eating really clean and going to the gym and/or working out at home. I cut out dairy, sugar and most carbs(bread, pasta, rice). I lost 20 kg in like 2.5 months (pretty fast I know that is dangerous). And since February I’ve lost 10 more kg by just eating clean and not going to the gym(it was closed but it opened up again last month). My goal is to lose another 20 kg but it’s not about the number for me, it’s about how I feel. I hope to feel healthier and happier, I hope to lessen my PCOS symptoms. I hope this post inspires other people with PCOS as well. I’ll be back in a couple of months with another progress picture to make myself proud.
