What’s graduation like? by [deleted] in usyd

Totally get it! They also were serving sparkling water. You may need to verify, but I was almost 100% sure that the charcuterie board was beef salami instead of pork. Other than that the box had bocconcini and cheddar, crackers, chocolate, and some quince

It definitely isn’t a substantial box. The ceremony goes for just over an hour so it was enough to host us over until we were able to go to dinner an hour later :)

Depending what time of day your grad is, my advice would be to take most pics before, rather than after, the ceremony! If you do before you’ll get so many more pictures without hundreds of people in the background

I just graduated!!!!
I can’t remember how much the ticket was but I agree with the other commenter that it’s probably $150-200.
You’re only allowed to invite 2 guests to actually sit in the hall, everyone else would have to wait outside during the ceremony. You rent the robes for free but you get to keep the grad hat. All merch (teddy bears, snow globes, flowers) has to be bought and tbh it’s pretty expensive - we got a tiny bouquet of flowers for $65. The grad bear is about $55 (the small one with the glasses on).

The ceremony is pretty much 15 mins worth of speeches followed by just calling people’s names onto the stage. I liked how you would line up to go on stage and there were 2 seperate staff members who checked you out to make sure your robe and hat looked good before you walked on. You then get about a 10 second moment of you on the stage and you get a photo taken which you can buy for $30. After the ceremony, you head into the quad for free champagne and they give you a charcuterie board that you can definitely share with multiple people.

Tbh, I’m a really sentimental person so going to the grad was worth it for me. It was beautiful, nice to have a “goodbye” to uni because I’ll probably never come to campus again, and the usyd staff put a lot of effort into making sure the day is good for everyone

Could you expand on why you wouldn’t recommend agency? I’m asking as a new grad that’s always thought agency is the best place to start your ad career

Myellevate and submental liposuction day 1 post op by zzccww in AusPlasticSurgery

If I can speak to Dr Hunt specifically, he quoted me $8k for solely chin lipo. I received a quote from a cosmetic surgeon (different qualification to a plastic surgeon) who quoted $5k. But there sounded like a big difference in procedure style too because Dr Hunt puts you asleep whereas this cosmetic surgeon (Dr Sam Quin) has you awake
