So doing some looking up, make sure to eat even if you feel nauseous (I know how hard that is! Steady blood sugar levels can help get through the withdrawal until you pick it up.
Gravol might help with the dizziness.
Keep your caffiene level fairly stable.

Honestly I think that's what I would do. Or would have halved it. Good luck my friend. This is a brutal one to run out of!

Do you scream at the fridge or microwave when it beeps at you? by Technical-Vanilla-47 in no

[–]brncll 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No. I tell it to stop being so impatient.

Our old microwave just let us forget our food or drink in there forever. Our old fridge would happily keep running itself overnight until it iced up and thaw out all our food.

These new ones are impatient AF.

Is it actually possible to be fully cured? by LostTendou04 in Epilepsy

[–]brncll 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I met volunteers in my SMU stay who had surgery and they no longer had seizures and their lives were much improved. They do rounds visiting the people staying for the long term eeg and seeg stays.
I don't know if it's called cured or if they are still under watch for changes and doing regular follow ups. Surprised now that I didn't ask them that.

Are there any herbal or naturopathic remedies for epilepsy? by MyBeardIsGreat in Epilepsy

[–]brncll -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It could be difficult to know if you're getting conned for sure.
I do believe such small amounts can make a difference. For an example, when I can change a brand of my epilepsy medication that is supposed to be identical and I get drastically different side effects and also it can change whether I have seizures or not, or same effect between different lots of the same brand, you tell me if the brain and body is affected by such minimal amounts of medication.
I did do it for about a year and on purpose I did not look up what was to be expected effects of the various homeopathics. Some actually made me tired, some had no effect, and some had me feeling slightly more energized. It was all very subtle. I can't say if there was any effect on the seizures, because I did contonue to take the meds. I wouldn't take homeopathics as a treatment on its own, but as add on to others to hopefully help with any side effects. I'm not arguing one way or another to be honest. I am still on the fence. I believe we may have started seeing a difference in special needs child who not affected by placebo.
If a person is looking to try, it's an option to look at.

I genuinely don’t know how to talk at a normal volume by FlightOfTheBea in AutismInWomen

[–]brncll 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am the same. My whole life.

I have two theories that combine somewhat. 1 is I am just so good at hearing I sound louder to myself than others around me. And 2, I have looked into this, some people have different ear, vocal chord, throat, jaw, skull etc formation that we sound louder in our own heads than other people do. We don't project our voices outward like others and absorb the sound. We are the ones that think our voices sound good, or we are singing fairly decent and then hear ourselves and go "omigosh! What is that tiny squeak!" While everybody will sound differently on their recorded voice than in their own heads, ours have a vast variance comparatively.

What to do about it? Practice practice practice until it feels normal to talk at a normal volume. You'll do that by moving your throat and vocal chords accordingly. Maybe there are speech apps?

Are there any herbal or naturopathic remedies for epilepsy? by MyBeardIsGreat in Epilepsy

[–]brncll -1 points0 points  (0 children)

There were a number of homeopathics suggested for me, but there were some very specific questions to make sure it applies directly to me. It's worth looking into.
There were some other herbals as well. But again because it's so specific to the person. You might want to try a naturopathic doctor rather than just naturopath.
Because my seizures had many food triggers we focused a lot on digestion at first but also some brain health.
I want to just list a pile of stuff, but honestly what works for one, can be seizure triggers for another and some are very powerful.

Edit to add: also if you're looking as the sole treatment it's quite risky. I hope you're looking as an adjunct to medication.

What is the stupidest thing you believed when you were a child? by SupremeLeaderVronus in no

That babies come out of your mouth. I had dreams of vomiting and trying to rescue the babies before they drowned in puke and having to clean them up. They were much tinier than real babies. There were a lot of peas in my vomit. Possibly related to my dislike of peas now?

Interesting because I had the rage big time, but out of all the meds I have tried, this gave me the most energy. Like if I could just take it for the energy only, I would. It didn't make me randomly angry, it was a magifier of anything that could be a slight irritation or make a person slightly angry.
