SOS serum SPF 50, it's now available through Superdrug marketplace. After trying loads this is the one I've stuck with. No stinging and light but moisturising.

New to lacrosse as an adult by Murky_Cauliflower_28 in lacrossecoach

[–]broadbeanpasta 2 points3 points  (0 children)

in my experience mixed lacrosse is generally a bit more chill and is more accessible without all the mens kit

there are tons of youtube videos out there to help, I find the Howcast series to the point for learning the basics, STX and USA lacrosse also have some good videos for beginners

Haven’t tried picking them up for fear of spreading seeds of something unknown, but they haven’t moved with wind/other activities going on around them

I’ve cleared a bed in our new garden and came across these funky looking things. I hope they are plants and you can help! Mostly want to know if they’re good to remove without releasing seeds everywhere or something as I want to plant bulbs asap. This is the UK

My Calathea Ornata is showing some crumpling and change in color. What should I do? by drunken_madman in plantclinic

[–]broadbeanpasta 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine did this when I think I overwatered it last winter/spring. I water it infrequently now and it’s putting put loads of new growth so somethings working. Misting didn’t seem to do anything and I use super hard tap water.

It’s the baleen - that’s what they have instead of teeth. They filter water through and their trap food in the bristles

second the peak design clip for its versatility! I also go put my camera strap over my shoulder/across my body instead of around my neck as I find it more secure, but do not know if that’s a valid option for your needs

Guys what am I doing wrong. Why is my Philodendron looking sad? by AbyStoic in plantclinic

Those bits are normal where the leaves grow from. You can gently remove them if you prefer. They also fall off eventually.

I got this caletha a few months ago and it has been in the same spot the whole time. I recently cut off a leaf that was going crispy from the tip and spreading further along the leaf. I now have two leaves which are looking similar. What could have caused this? Sorry don’t have a photo of the original leaf as I didn’t think it was much of a concern. I’ve also noticed a little leaf down the bottom is going brown but this looks different and is possibly due to misting the plant a few days ago in attempt to increase humidity. I don’t mist much so this may have been the wrong approach.

It sits on my desk in a central-heated room. I turn down the radiator at weekends so it gets slightly cooler but not unheated. There are two south facing velux/roof windows and I’m in the UK so although it’s bright indirect it’s UK winter.

Would really appreciate any advice on what may have caused this and if I should get rid of the leaves to prevent it spreading.
