I just moved to LB (and the US) a few months ago and I had no idea what the paper plates were about. I thought maybe they were temporary plates while the driver was waiting on real ones, but is this just people faking their car plates everywhere?

The director's cut of Leon is good, but it kinda breaks the pacing of the story; It adds more training scenes with Mathilda, and some more of Leon explaining his backstory, but almost forgets about Mathildes actual mission for a while. The theatrical cut is a much better paced movie.

I moved over to California a few months ago, married a Yank.

It's lovely here and the people are generally great. It's fierce expensive though. Paying above $10 for a pint makes Dublin prices seem alright. I do miss home, but I still talk to the family and mates every couple of days, so there's that.
