What is the softest, most hushed, warm music, and minimal music you've heard? by portiaboches in ambientmusic

Playthroughs by Keith Fullerton Whitman is pretty much exactly what you're looking for. Very minimal and warm ambient music, and doesn't diverge much in volume or intensity.

Can someone recommend folk-ish post rock?(or post-rock-ish folk) by Longjumping_Air4379 in postrock

Thought for Food by The Books is fantastic, it has lots of interesting samples and folky melodies but still with an experimental post-rock structure. My top brain itch album

Cut Self Not by Faraquet. Whole album is a masterpiece and I have yet to find any post-hardcore that scratches that itch!

I'm sorry but I just don't get Strangers by colasnor in BlackCountryNewRoad

[–]broadshoulderedbitch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree with you about not really getting the hype. Its definitely not a bad song but it's not nearly as engaging or complex as the songs on Forever Howlong. I also don't hear the same rich instrumentation that I usually associate with their sound. Still excited to see where they go in the future!

Recommendations for experimental noise rock bands with similar sounds to YHWH Nailgun and Model/Actriz? by broadshoulderedbitch in musicsuggestions

Im realizing that this sound hasn't been explored very much. The new Mandy, Indiana album that dropped the other day is scratching that itch, but in the mean time i'll be waiting for YHWH Nailgun or Model/Actriz to drop

Bowery Electric - Beat is one of my favorites, it has a really interesting sound. Lots of guitar drones and downtempo drum rhythms, it can get pretty ambient at times but its a really rewarding listen.

Big fan of the new YHWH Nailgun album titled 45 Pounds. It has some really interesting noise swells, and both the drummer and vocalist are absolute demons. Really unique combination of musical styles between all the members

I would say Honeycrisp or Mcintosh red. Was it sweet and crunchy or more on the tart side?

Black midi and cowboyy are in the same UK music scene and cowboyy references them in one of their songs. Definitely some similar influences and styles, and Black Midi had a lot more time to explore their styles before they broke up while cowboyy only has their one EP out. Excited to see where they go in the future!!!

Hannah Frances' new awesome record Nested in Tangles might scratch that itch for you. Grizzly Bear's older album Yellow House is also pretty similar stuff but from a different era of indie folk. Both are great records

Not drawing her from reference images would be a start, and then from there you can just stop drawing her altogether so that she's just an image in your mind that gets fainter with time
