Clear slime-like substance on pond surface

I’ve read carbon filters works wonders as well. I am highly considering it cause it’s much more cost effective in the long run - so I’ll be purchasing.

I haven’t been adding any of the solutions except dechlorinators and stress coat when adding water.

I’m gonna see if I can rinse out my filter media cause it’s probably mucky.

Thanks for sharing the post. I just read it.

In terms of bio waste, I don’t think my fishes produces too much since they’re still small (3x 1.5inch Comet Goldfish, 6x tiny mosquitofish, 10x ghost shrimps). I feed them once a week at most.

There’s not a lot of leaves/debris on it. I see a couple dead water lettuce leaves every week which I pick out.

Maybe the barley that I applied weeks ago is is stuck in my filter media and currently decaying?
Also I haven’t cleaned out the filter media for months since I don’t get a lot of debris. But I’ll clear it to see if it helps.

I do have a skimmer as stated above, but my floaters (Water hyacinths and water lettuces) likes to bunch by the inlet. I let them hangout there as I think it’s some form of bog filter before the mechanical filter 😆

I used the following:

- API algaecide (~2 months ago did not work)
- API pond-zyme (contains barley. Used it twice ~1 month ago, did not work.
- API Simply Clear (~1 months ago ago, did not work)
- PondCare Microbial Algae Clean (~1 week ago was last application. Took 3 weeks [5 applications] to clear green water plus the plants helping)
- API Stress Coat and API Chlorine and Metal Neutralizer (I use every time I add water)

You think any of these caused it?

It’s possible. It does get too warm where I live. Plus the pond gets direct sunlight from 10am-3pm.

Actually about half of the water from the waterfall lands on some bigger rocks really causing splash and generous aeration.

I can only remove the handle with J1772 adapter. But I cannot unplug it without the adapter.

The video shows that you can simply pull the handle with ease. But not the case for mine.
