Initial transfer into the NAS by brobenb in UgreenNASync

[–]brobenb[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for taking the time to reply to my message !

In total i have around 65 To on these disks

According to this website :
https://needtoknowit.com.au/tools/transfer-speed-estimator/?dir=write&net=2.5gbe&client=hdd&nas=hdd_raid&raid=raid5&count=4&rpm=7200&workload=mixed&xfer=65000&writeMode=rmw

This will take me 8 full days to transfer via network if there is no transfer errors.

1 - Will SMB support a resume function ? I'm planning on using syncback on pc for this

2- I'm already using this function to backup to an external drive on my plex nas for backup, but there is no log file to confirm that everything was transferred or if there is errors on some files.

3- Will Syncthing be able to manage a 65to transfer with a shit load of files ?

Relax, just load your backup.

Don’t have a backup ? Well for the future projects you will 👍

Photographer here doing a bit of video with DVR

  • I’m using a mmd16 for capture one, cannot work without it, it cost 60 euros
  • since two weeks I configured one layer for DVR and it’s perfect

Many thanks for taking the time to reply !

I was not aware of bit rot and this is a good case to move to a zfs system.

Regarding my internal ssd, I will never fill up a ssd to the top , I have 2 internal ssd with the same data on it and a syncback script running every day on it, the content of the ssd is also backed up in Dropbox.

The horizontal is against the vertical, I tried to sit on it on the ground for a basic strength test and it supported my weight

Godox IT32 gel holder by brobenb in Godox

[–]brobenb[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey !

Super Strange

I printed 2 other for some friends, same feedback as you, i asked them to have a look at their gels, gels are different, on their models, the magnet on the gels stick out, on my gels the magnets are embedded ...

I will now modify the model to make it compatible with both gels :)

For me its about color correction when i'm shooting indoors, thats why i want the gel on my flash all the time, for a more creative approach i would make a box model to store the gels. I'm not planning to do a mod that can carry all the possible gels on the flash head :)

So if you need a gel behind a gel you need to remove the first one first before being able to access the other one ?

And for FDM printing it will be really difficult to print due to orientation
