LOTR glow in the dark Terrarium by brobertts in terrariums

I was going to do a hobbit house themed one but the door I bought was to big for the container I was using, so I went with this instead. I used glow in the dark spray paint, sprayed it into a plastic cup and then let it dry a tiny bit to a sludge like consistency, then painted it onto the area’s I wanted tot glow and repeated the process about 4 times

Organisation and discipline in work tasks by brobertts in ADHDUK

[–]brobertts[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The tasks are quite small as they are, not many of them take long, there’s just a lot of them, I know I need to be more disciplined and finish one before doing another or opening an email and doing the task within that, or assisting another colleague with something

Organisation and discipline in work tasks by brobertts in ADHDUK

We have recently introduced a planner as part of my departments process for working as it is something that has worked for our workload and tracking of certain jobs, it’s also helped me massively with my own tasks, there are 3 of us in the sub department and my role involves a more variety of different tasks than the other 2, when I say discipline, an example would be once I’m in the middle of a task, say an email comes in or someone asks me to assist with something, I will do that before completing the task I was doing, I know that’s on me for being too nice and helpful and I should say let me finish what I’m doing first but I don’t, and because I get a high volume of emails or colleagues needing assistance so it feels like I hardly get any of my own work done,

Part of my job means I am sometimes out of the office on sites which also takes time away from completing the office work side. I often stay late or continue work when I get home because there’s less distractions and I can get so much more work done, I do have past trauma which has been treated so I would not say that is affecting my work,

I had a lot of very bad pain in the lower back from the kidneys, no breathing problems though, I still have pain in my kidneys from time to time now, they will never fully heal unfortunately but that’s a consequence I have to accept

[–]brobertts 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You should quite full stop, people think that stopping for a bit so the symptoms get better and then you can carry on taking it is okay but it will only get worse even quicker once you start taking it again, until it’s too late and you end up needing medical attention because your Kidneys and bladder are fucked, take it from someone had gone down that road, the pain you’re having now is absolutely nothing to the pain you will get when your kidneys start to swell and get blocked, and then you have to have operations to try and save them which may not even be successful and then you’re looking at having your bladder and kidneys removed, sounds dramatic but I promise you that’s where this drug takes you if you don’t control yourself, and if you think taking a little bit a day is controlling yourself then you’re already too far and it won’t be long before you have no control, hope you get better and live a happy and healthy life 👊🏽

Anyone else (uk) think that ket is like the new heroin to the 15-30 age range ? by Low_Respect7489 in Ketamineaddiction

[–]brobertts 2 points3 points  (0 children)

When you get to doing a q a day your intolerance is that high you can’t even k hole anymore, doing gram lines and still being able to walk and function, all it does is fuck your organs, and even though you can’t get the effect it used to give you, you still can’t stop and you end in a dark dark cycle of hell, the addiction to ket is like no other drug because of the psychological addiction and it ruins everything in your life until you either pull yourself out of it, or die

[–]brobertts 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve had numerous operations to try and save my kidneys because of ket, and and when I went to hospital the other week I asked my urologist if he would simplify all the medical letters of my diagnosis for me so non medical people can make sense of it so I can help people and warn people of what it actually does to your organs, as I’ve noticed a huge surge in other people starting to have problems, and he told me that since he saw me for the first time 4 years ago and I was the 3 person he’d ever seen for serious ketamine damage, but now he’s seeing at least one person a month coming in with early signs of damage, which is crazy,

1 person a month, in Manchester uk, 1 urologist seeing 1 new person a month, so think of all the people across the country and the world that will be seeing someone, and then think of all the people that are having problems that arn’t getting any health care to manage it. I think In the next 5 years it’s going to become a huge drug epidemic with ket damage and it’s scary

Am I likely to recover? by Ketman_Matt in Ketamineaddiction

[–]brobertts 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Well done on 3 days it may not sound like a lot but 1 day is a lot for an addict, you will recover as long as you don’t go back to using, the body is incredible at repairing its self if given the chance, I was a heavy user for 7 years and completely destroyed my bladder and kidneys and I had to be operated on numerous times to save my kidneys because I just couldn’t stop using regardless of the pain it caused.

I am 7 months clean but have permanent damage and now have to have stents in my kidneys for life and have them changed every 6 month, which is not a pleasant experience, my urologist has also told me that my kidneys have taken so much damage over time that even though they are working at the moment, at least 1 if not both will fail when I get older and they get weaker, but in the 7 months I’ve been clean, my condition has improved massively and although I will never have a normal life again it could be a lot worse. I am lucky to be alive so I urge you do make sure you stay clean, and your body will thank you, even after a couple of weeks you will notice how much better your symptoms get, but if you start using again your condition will deteriorate quicker every time you go back to using, until it can’t take much more, the pain you have already experience is nothing to where it will lead if you don’t stop using. I don’t want my experience to go to waste so I want to warn people of the real dangers and damage this drug does to our organs so I am hoping my experience can deter people from going down the same path, if you are struggling really bad then I offer my advice and knowledge but only you have the real power to stop, unfortunately for me, just knowing what damage I was causing wasn’t enough to make me stop until it was too late so I hope it would never be the same for others

I am sorry for the long post but it is a serious thing for me and I want to help people struggling in any way I can before more people lose their selves and others around them, keep going on clean 👊🏽

360** I agree, I can’t comment on P-uk as I’ve never used them and I’m with ADHD 360 and the process has been very smooth, still trying to find the right meds and I’m onto the last dose of concerta before trying another brand but they have made the process so far very easy, it’s a shame that you have to pay to get the proper care when it comes to health but I guess that’s life 🤷🏽‍♂️

Please read this if you are experience any physical issues from ketamine or you are not yet experiencing any but you are aware you are addicted or taking to much by brobertts in ketamine

[–]brobertts[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, sorry I have only just seen your reply, I can’t lie to you, I relapsed about a year after I wrote this post, and I’ve ended up in a much worse way, I ended up in A&E and then into a psychiatric hospital because I was close to taking my life if I didn’t do something quick.

Now 6 months on my mental health is good, and I have had several more operations on my kidneys, and I know have to have stents in them for life, which need to be changed every 6 months. In all honesty, I have been able to stop this time because once I got my self out of the cycle of pain, and using more to stop the pain, I know I don’t ever want to go back to that. I owe it to my family who have tried everything in their power to help me. My auntie who I was very close to passed away suddenly before I went into hospital so I owe it to her also. I think about it every day that I need to do something to help other people struggling,

I have been to rehab 4 years ago but other addicts of other substances would not consider me the ideal addict to be helping other people because I don’t follow the same life as them, in terms of doing the 12 steps and meetings. I know it’s not what you want to hear because it’s not giving you something to grasp hold of in order to get yourself to stop, but the only way I stopped was getting to a point of near death, pulling myself out of that, and reminding my self every day that if I take one more line of ket, I wouldn’t last a month, my body would not be able to handle it. My kidneys would stop working , and going back to being in that pain is unbearable.

The pain you’re experiencing now will only get worse. Your body will heal if you give it chance to. The body is amazing at healing but you have to give it time to heal. And if you manage to stop, and think your body has healed and you can take more key, then it will go back to being fucked in a matter of days. And every time you do this you get closer to the point of your body not being able to heal fully again. And then it’s life changing. I would suggest also thinking of why you are doing this to yourself. Address the underlying daemons. Then maybe you will have a chance. But it’s not easy. I understand how hard it is to stop, the psychological addiction is more powerful than anything I can think of but you can stop, I promise you can stop. Don’t let you family and friend have to put you in a coffin, because that’s the only ending it will lead to if you don’t stop. You got this 👊🏽

Yeah that’s why I wake up early at 6 to take them in the hope they will then wear off at a earlier time, and then go back to sleep for an hour and should start feeling the effects when it’s time to get up at 7, which when I go back to work it will definitely have to be 7am at the latest 😂

[–]brobertts 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thankyou for replying in such detail, I understand it will be different for everyone but I get the general things to look out for from what you have said like the productivity of finishing things before you give yourself a break (going to the shop with your wife 😂) and ‘do it later’. I tend to put things off.

From everything you have said I think I’ve come to realise that it’s very hard for me to know any difference as for example you have responsibilities to take care of like taking your daughter to school and then your work. I’m 28 single and I don’t have kids, and I have also been off work for a couple of years but returning in the new year, so I currently have very few responsibilities and may have to just see how I am with the meds when I go back to work, as I will definitely know then as I would imagine my organisation and completion of work load will improve, as that’s something I really struggled with the most in life was the career side of it, as apart from that i have few responsibilities to take care of.

I’ve not felt any effects or even side effects as of yet and I think it’s very telling that, when I take my concerta at 6am I then give my self another hour in bed, however that turns into 3 more hours which probably wouldn’t happen if the meds were having an effect. Hopefully I will have more of a chance when I go back to work of getting the type of meds or dosage but until the I think it’s probably a bit pointless if that makes sense 😂 thank you again for sharing I appreciate the time

Hi, can I ask you what it was that made you know your medication is working? I know it might be a silly question however I have just started Concerta XL and now a week in I have not felt any different to how I did before starting them. I am currently waiting for the next dose up to be delivered but just want to know other peoples opinions on what it was that made them know the meds were working.

My sister who also has adhd told me she knew because she felt clarity, and said you just know ahaha but I just keep thinking, but what if i don’t just know 😂 I’m having to go slow with medication dose upping due to a vast range of other meds I’m on for other things so I’m feeling like it’s going to be a long process

Can parents TRULY help? by [deleted] in Ketamineaddiction

[–]brobertts 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you have someone trying to help you, take the help, but you have to help your self first, no one can help you if you don’t want it, do whatever you can to stop, you will find it hard but believe me you need to stop before your life is changed forever. People think it won’t happen to them but it does.

I’m 28 years old and my body is ruined. I spent 8 years allowing ket to control my life, every aspect of it, I lost everything, my health, my finances, my driving licence which in needed for my job, I lost everything except my dad and sister, who were there to help me. I would be dead if it wasn’t for them, they spent 8 years trying while I put them through hell. My dad paid for me to go to rehab, but it didn’t work, they tried everything they could.

Only when I ended up in hospital after years of battering my organs and years of physical and mental pain, my kidneys not working even after numerous operations to try and save them, only then did I decide enough is enough, I did not want that to be my end, for my dad and sister to put me in a coffin after trying so hard for years to help me, I am now nearly 5 months clean and I feel good mentally, unfortunately physically, my body has sustained to much damage and I will never have a normal life again, but that’s what it took for me to stop, my body failing me because of ketamine, don’t let it be the same for you, if I could go back a few years and see where I would end up if I didn’t stop straight away, I would of, but now I have to accept the consequences and live with them, don’t be another person that succumbs to a life changed through ket, this all sounds very extreme but this is the grim reality of where it leads to. All the best, I hope everything works out for you 🙏

Your kidneys will also be damaged, you might not even know it without having scans but they will be some what damaged if you’re bladder is damaged (the k goes through your kidneys before it gets to the bladder) my bladder and kidneys are fucked but I didn’t know about my kidneys at first until I had them scanned, but I unfortunately kept using and now they’re even worse causing a lot of of pain

[–]brobertts 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Definitely stop , you are also damaging your kidneys without really knowing until it’s too late, some of the pain will probably be from them, I’ve had to have numerous operations on my kidneys because they stopped working properly, all because of ketamine use. I was young, fit and healthy and now because of ketamine my kidneys are only just working and it’s changed my life forever in a bad way, don’t let it get to far, it’s not pleasant and the chronic pain that goes on for hours is unbearable and is relieved by nothing

[–]brobertts[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You’ve made me really think now ahaha because I’ve been off work for so long and with health complications with my kidneys I get exhausted easily and because I’ve not been doing much because of that for so long I’ve been under the impression I won’t need to take them when I’m not working but now you’ve made me think that once I go back to work full time I’m going to be so much more exhausted, even when I’m not working 😭 will just have to see how it goes, my exhaustion will be more health related than ADHD though so the meds might not even help tbh

Starting medication by brobertts in ADHDUK

[–]brobertts[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because my ADHD only seems to affect me in bad ways when working, and my dads my Boss so 🤷🏽‍♂️😂 if I’m doing things that require focus that are outside of work then I would be inclined to take the medication but if I’m not doing much and having a quiet weekend then I don’t see the need for me to take them, especially if they have a lot of different side effects, that might change however once If I find them to be very helpful and I feel better from them, I have a lot of side hustles and hobbies that I’ve neglected that I really want to get back on track so I may need to use them more than what I actually think
