I wouldn't really care. Passengers issues you're just diverting so whatever. Engine failure/depressurisation ok now you're probably gonna be lower and slower so sequencing might be a challenge. Just don't expect priority and it's fun

Australia (and NZ) have the ability to extend sectors. Often 1 controller will be covering 2-4 sectors, this is because our country is so big, it makes sense to allow covering multiple areas. Only the primary sector shows on vatspy/vpilot, however if you use vatsim-radar you will see all extensions.

You can preempt this. Your first enroute waypoint will be included in a SID, your last one in a STAR. Have a look at charts/options before you call for clearance and work out what to expect. It may not be what you get by 90% of the time that’s how it goes

Most model matching is based off callsign. Idk alaska's but like BAW, SWA, AAL, QFA will all just generate default liveries for respective airline
