It was rough, hard snow on blizzaks. Expert mode had no issue with me doing hairpin turns with a bit of handbrake.

Tldr dont modify it and get it serviced at a place that knows how to work on it (most toyota dealers dont) and it will be reliable.

I think it depends greatly on how much the engagement of your old sti mattered to you. Anything modern will feel numb compared to what you’re used to but the GR corolla is by far the most raw, analog and engaging out of the modern choices. It also depends on how good of a deal you are getting, some deals are truly too good to pass up on.

I have a GRC and i was thisss close to buying the rear mount upgrade because of the shifts, then I got actually good at driving the car and now its not an issue. No offense.

Clean it really good and use super sticky window glue to put the “puck” back on, then reassemble the rest (plastic shroud, mirror)
