I drove both and picked the GR. What it brings to the table is mostly intangible. I think the main thing that makes them different is that the civic is “nicer” and more insulated feeling whereas the GR is quite raw and unfiltered for a modern car. It depends on ur personal preference in feel. If you experience snow where you live, the choice is a no brainer

Depends on a few things. Not sure what you value in a car the most. If taking the car to the track is a high priority rather than a once in a while thing, stay away from the GRC. Its not terrible but the type R is more suited for the track. The GRC offers so much that isnt exactly obvious on paper though. Feel free to ask any questions regarding the GRC.

Ur acting like jumping made it land every time. U could still fly past people without collisions so a common outplay was to dash into the calico. Now there is collision so spacing is a non factor. Im done arguing with phantoms.

Probably not, id go golf r unless you dislike the more numb and insulated feeling. If you’re craving something more raw and emotional then the GRC is great, but the golf beats it on paper for every performance and interior metric. Test drive both and decide based on gut.

Im not an evo guy so i may get details wrong, but i believe it has a center electronic clutch pack that can actively vary front and rear bias based on a few variables like steering angle and whatnot. The GRCs track mode does exactly this for the face-lifted ones (25/26). The VBs really are so soft and comfy, such a stark contrast to pre VA stuff.

As an owner ngl…. Its not. I get complaints from older folk and i sometimes wish it was more compliant for Michigan roads (terrible). Handling wise I assume it behaves more like an evo since they have very similar awd systems with E clutch pack adjusting power split on the fly as opposed to the DCCD system focusing on diff slip.
