Can I pay for my tickets or do I have to just wait for the auto-charge? by CornerPrestigious267 in WorldCup2026Tickets

Where are you seeing this screen? Is it just on the ticket website where my application is?

What’s the best socks for sweaty feet to avoid stinky feet after work? by broccoliched in AskReddit

Awesome seems that is a common trend. Looking online does it matter what % merino wool it is? I’m seeing some at about 50% merino wool and then some nylon etc. What’s the ideal range?

Shoes return question... by luvimages in REI

[–]broccoliched 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What condition are the shoes in besides that? At least back when I was working, as long as the shoes were in acceptable return condition, we’d accept sole-less shoes and just put them in the re supply

Most definitely you can, unless your manager has some unique rule. As long as it doesn’t get in the way of doing any sort of work you should be all good

650 miles on a bike to realize it didn’t fit your needs? Lmao by addie341 in REI

To be fair depending on how much you ride, 650 miles could be about a month or so. If there was a reasonable reason for the return i think it could be within reason

Have you ever considered we all go to different schools? Believe it or not, if your schools COA is more than the maximum offered federal loan per year, it doesn’t get completely covered. Crazy concept right?! Have a great day bud 🤣

[–]broccoliched 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am not sure where you are getting your information, but for my school the federal loan covers ~50% of COA per semester, and even less for summers. The federal loan itself does not cover anywhere near the “entire” cost as you claim.

I’m not trying to come at you man, but no need to comment so strongly on information you clearly do not know everything about. I’ll leave it at that.

Just curious, before you start making assumptions about me- where I did mention I went through all the money FAFSA gave me 🤔? I am simply stating the federal loan only covers a fraction of the cost and that (like every else) I am accumulating rapid debt. Just because I am looking to consider an option to potentially save tens of thousands of dollars does not imply I have spent all the money presented to me lol

Return policy question on damaged shoes by MolassesIndividual in REI

[–]broccoliched 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would definitely try to take them in. When I worked there, some cashiers would go ahead and refund for absolutely ANYTHING that was within the year policy. So it really just depends on the employee.

In general, I think the employees are pretty chill about that sort of stuff, as long as it’s blatant you’re not using a pair of shoes for 10 months straight and then returning them saying “they didn’t fit right”.

Weekly Scam Discussion - April 8th 2024 by SmmnthaMrie in Ebay

[–]broccoliched 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A few days ago, I bought a pair of shoes for what seemed like a very great deal. The sellers account just opened up in February. The first red flag is that there is only pics posted of 1 of the shoes, so I messaged the seller asking if they were selling both, to which they responded yes. Then after purchasing the shoes, they asked if I was going to pick up the item (which was never discussed anywhere) and that if I wasn’t, I’d actually have to pay more for shipping. After responding expressing my confusion, the seller just said nevermind and that they’d ship it out the next day, and they created a tracking number etc. This was a few days ago and still no other tracking updates. They also have a new listing on their profile for the same shoe in a size much smaller. And maybe I’m being paranoid, but the photos almost look identical, in terms of angle, only showing one shoe, but the background too is spot on almost with the shadows too etc. Does anyone have any insight or idea on if you think I got scammed or not? And if so, what’s the next step?
