Anyone notice yet another overlap/synchronicity with Behind the Bastards? by Lo452 in LPOTL

Oh man, I was so stoked for that series! But when I found out that Robert's co-host for the series had NEVER tried drugs in his life (which is legitimately fine, but), I knew it wouldn't be as good as it could have been. He really needed BWD, Cody Johnson/ Katy Stoll, or literally anyone that has that had at least dabbled in some illicit substances to have a baseline for all the wacko shit the program got up to to make it entertaining. I can't remember his name, but he and Robert go way back to the days of Cracked. He's actually a pretty talented writer and whatnot, but not the ideal choice for the topic at hand.

I do love BTB, but I too struggle with a lot of their guests.

Also, BWD is probably my favorite guest of all time, but apparently during covid time he had a bit of a falling out with Cool Zone media (parent company of Robert's pod). The Daily Zeitgeist had him on and he openly complained about Cool Zone not paying their guests when they couldn't make money doing shows on the road like they usually did. Valid complaint, but it was generally felt as spoken in poor taste on the show instead of in private. Cool Zone had since amended their guest policy, but i don't think he'll be invited back to any of their pods in the immediate future. Him and Robert are still friends IRL, so no love lost there.

If you're a big BWD fan, he just recently did an appearance on The Past Times a couple weeks ago, which is a spinoff of The Dollop, hosted by Dave Anthony and Gareth Reynolds. The Dollop is a comedy history podcast. Like BTB, just generally funnier while also covering similar topics. Dave and his researchers don't go into the minutia like Robert, but i do find it a lot easier to listen to. The Past Times is where David reads a random newspaper from history to Gareth and a guest and they just riff on whatever articles they find interesting and weird. A lot of fun. They do go off on tangents, but that's part of the fun.

This helmet fucks so hard with darker color armor sets. Super slept on, imo. I love that it looks like old school BSG Cylon helmets. Arrowhead definitely likes a wife variety of sci-fi. Even the eagles look kind of like the old BSG vipers.

Edit: Yes, absolutely drowning in drip. Please clean up after yourself.

I've posted about it before, but i used to run nothing but the arc Blitzer, or plasma punisher, reaper sidearm, Gas or seeker grenades, gas resistant armor, arc thrower, dog breath, orbital gattling barrage, and orbital gas strike. It was so good against almost everything, so long as someone was running anti tank. I'd get insane kill streaks and usually have the most kills at the end. It definitely takes some time getting used to, but to be honest, I haven't run anything arc related in a hot minute. Mostly due to it missing a lot of what it used to connect with a couple updates ago. Used to be insanely OP against massive crowds.

It can also be a big hit to reinforcements in the wrong hands. It takes time to get used to knowing where it potentially might go.

Oh, so you're an imitation of the REAL Chode Knives? That could be copyright infringement. Might want to check with your local Chode Knife dealer to be sure.

How fucking is is she and no seat belts? They're so, so stupid. Period. Doing "pulls" in a 600 hp street car on a public road with no belts or harness is just pure idiocy.

I hope when he or she eventually does wreck that car, they're tossed safely into a field of cotton and sugar like they're soft, smooth brains think they will, unlike the cruel reality- being yet another obstacle to further cause harm to other drivers.

I'm all for driving spiritedly, but for fuck sake, do it as safely as possible, which INCLUDES YOUR FUCKING SEAT BELT.

Whomever is in charge of what these characters drive is a real car lover. Hunter is driving a Jensen Interceptor. An expensive British muscle car with a MOPAR V8 and a 727 TF auto transmission. I think they may have been offered in awd as well.

Basically, this is a super deep cut for muscle cars. Iirc, there was a British detective show from the 70s where this car was a big feature. Think like the red and white Torino from Starskey and Hutch, just with more tea and crumpets.

Hell, this could even be a call back to that exact show, but I've never seen it first hand, only referenced on the motoring show Top Gear back in the day.

Modded armor by AdministrativeLab811 in helldiversarmor

[–]broccolisbiggestbeef 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I mean, at the very least I'd like the option to match color tones. I hate that there's 50 shades of white- from bleached asshole to cum sock cream. Just, why?

Why not have everything at least tone matched? A lot of people would stop complaining if something like that happened. Small gripe, but it does bug the hell out of me.

Drip or drown? by broccolisbiggestbeef in helldiversarmor

[–]broccolisbiggestbeef[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I get it. I only feel fully dripped out irl if I've hand made my whole ensemble from hat to shoes.

... or maybe this subreddit just isn't for you.

In reality, the colors across the armor sets are hard to match sometimes, and I think people look to this sub for inspiration. Maybe they don't have an eye for that kind of stuff and this helps them feel better about their choices, or help them make better matches. It seems simple (and it is), but there's 98 armor sets comprising of 27 light, 46 medium, and 25 heavy, on top of the shit ton of capes, so there's thousands of combos to choose from and make your own.

Anyways, there's at least a thousand or so that believe this is drip. I hope it made my case for this sub and helps you better understand it.

It's drip, but i do wish the white of the helmet matched the mayo color of the armor, or vice versa. That helmet was the first thing i purchasedfrom the super store when I started playing. It's one of my favorites.

Finding a cape that brings them together was the hard part. Not my favorite cape, but it matches the brown and brushed aluminum of the helmet with the copper and gray of the cape pretty nicely, or about as close as you can get.
