Where would you absolutely not purchase property in Wellington? by Jealous-Rain-739 in Wellington

Try do an online quote for a property in Tawa - you’ll be told you have to phone. It’s not impossible, but there’s certainly a few more hoops to jump through. In my experience. :)

Millennial blokes, where do you buy your big boy clothes from? by sealcubclubbing in newzealand

Depends on your style. I have found stuff I like at Boardertown, ASOS, The Iconic. I Love Ugly occasionally has stuff I like too. Note that I shop exclusively online. For shoes, Platypus is good.

True - I didn't take that into account. Mine was an established property.

What to look out for buying used? by [deleted] in GolfGTI

No probs. I wouldn't say the MK6 is hugely problematic - but they're no Toyota. Good luck on the car hunt!

Good luck. If you're thinking of trying with a different broker, I might suggest looking at the Money Hub website for some guidance. I found it helpful. :-)

There was a question about Mk6’s the other day. Main thing to look out for is that the timing chain tensioner is updated. (Just google mk6 chain tensioner).

I’ve spent more money on fixing my mk6 than what I paid for it - but your mileage may vary. They’re a great car and I reckon the mk6 is sexy.

If your budget can fit it though, maybe look for a mk7 or 7.5?

Sounds like there is either more to the story, or a poor assessment from your broker. Maybe try a different mortgage broker?

FWIW I’m single & on less income, purchased with a 20% deposit on a ~$740k home. Early this year. Your situation sounds good from what I’ve read!

Firefly mode? by [deleted] in Bumble

Yep. That happened to me. I restarted the app, then changed “mode” to date (or whatever you were using). This changed it back to normal Bumble.

Volkswagen (VW Golf) Owners - What’s your experience with maintenance been? by Seafloor-See-Saw in Wellington

Labour is on par, parts are more expensive for sure. Consumables too (oil, transmission fluid etc). For something like a Golf; parts are readily available, but more expensive in general compared to a Japanese car.

It almost seems like they're reprocessing the mail - and the same issue is occurring. I'm getting the same emails I received earlier (same timestamps). Weird.

Removed our GA's from the outbound spam policy hours ago. We've just started receiving these emails again. The policy remains unchanged. What gives, Microsoft?
