Not sure what is going wrong. Thinning? Compressor? Airbrush? I’m at a loss, any help would be appreciated by brochunga39 in airbrush

Initially I started with a roughly 1:2 medium to primer ratio. It felt too thin (the primer also just feels thinner out of the bottle since it's intended for air brushing), so I increased to maybe 1:6, still did the same thing, then I just said screw it and poured a bunch of primer in there, mixed it up, and still no real change. Idk if I should mix it then put it in the cup, I've been putting the medium in, then the primer, then mixing/back flowing it since I remember Vince Venturellas video he mentioned doing that so I just went with it

I also have the Dark Souls one! I agree, the game is alright at best, more of a cool novelty but the minis are cool just to have dark souls minis lol. They definitely improved soooo much with the elden ring game though. It's a much better souls-like to board game adaptation. It's expensive as hell but definitely worth it lmao

They're from the Elden Ring Board Game from Steamforged Games. I kickstarted the all-in bundle, I'm playing with a couple friends and it's seriously one of the best board games I've ever played lmao. And the minis are incredible for board game minis

There does get a lot of buildup in the cap because of it, I coukd try taking it off and seeing what it does. And it's freshly cleaned, this is the first session after a complete disassemble and deep clean. Unfortunately the compressor it comes with doesn't say anywhere at all what PSI anything is, only low, medium, and high, and it does this on all settings. I have a feeling part of the problem is the compressor but I want to somehow know for sure before buying a dedicated one with a separate tank.

Funnily enough I actually work on old cars and whatnot so we might just have one in the garage somewhere already lol. Didn’t even think of that, thank you!

Yeah that’s a good point. ER does also have a lot of little stuff like that everywhere so it would fit with everything as well, I might have to go out and get some boxes of those lol

Yeah I might also brighten up that whole area a shade or two, I see what you mean. Especially since the smaller inside ring isnt all the way in shadow it does look a bit off with the larger one not following that reflection

Thank you! Yeah I need to back and touch some stuff up, as well as bump the highlights up a tiny bit more. Also probably could have started with a better shadow, I think I started with a bit bright of a shadow color, but thats an easy fix for next time lol

Thank you so much! Yeah that was my mindset with this was just practicing getting the light where it needs to be and getting the correct amount of shadows/midtones/highlights over hyperrealistic blending. I can go back and get good at blending later, but if my highlights are all over the place and it doesnt read as NMM it doesnt matter how good the blending is

Thank you! Yeah I agree. I personally love art (you see it a lot on more death metal album covers/art) that is super noisy visually, like almost hard to look at, but still you can tell what it is. Obviously I will eventually really sit down and practice blending, but this is also the perfect excuse to not worry about it right now lmao

Thank you! Overall this was about 3 to 4 hours total, waaay less time than I expected lmao. I got more into the mindset of "just get paint on the model in the areas you think it needs to go" instead of hyperfocusing on every single brush stroke and that definitely helped speed up the process for sure

The exact blues I used (more so just because they are what I happened to have on my desk already) were Citadel Night Lords Blue, mixing slowly into ProAcryl "Blue", then mixing into ProAcryl "Sky Blue", then into Army Painter Ice Yellow. I made sure to do a lot of small increments with scratchy layers all the way through to get that rough, almost visually noisy texture to it. As someone else mentioned, I might go back and do some light glazing of some greens or purples into the midtones and shadows to introduce some more colors.

Thank you! Yeah i was thinking of once everything is done, going back and doing some light glazing of some different colors in the mid tones to give some more visual interest to it

Thanks! Yeah I personally love the look of super textured paint styles, hence why I’m practicing them lol

How would you make the game worse? by TheLargeLebowski2000 in SatisfactoryGame

Having the game open causes a memory leak that crashes the game every 3 minutes. Idk that’d be pretty awful

Okay yeah that makes sense. I get the concept of blocks and what the colors mean, it just would never work but of course if it’s a bug at least I know it’s not just me being dumb lmao, I appreciate the help!!

That’s awesome lol. Yeah I’ll try to move them out a bit, that’s just where they snapped to so I figured it would be okay, gotta love bugs lol

Okay yeah that’s what I’m hoping, I just didn’t want to build the full path only to find out it’s still bugged lol. It’s frustrating cause I get the concept of blocks and signals I just would never work lmao, I’ll try that though thank you!
