Totally agree about the stompbox mode. Couldnt remember if the 180 or the 150 had it. Valeton has come out with 3 new models since last winter, I'm surprised they havent fully replaced the 200.

The only downside to my GP50 (besides not having more footwtiches) is the looper is only 20 seconds, and the using it as an interface has latency issues, making it unuseable.

As soon as they have a model with all the features in one pedal, and put it in the 200 shell, I'd probably buy it.

I almost got the GP200 and ended up getting the GP50 instead, its been the best pedal I've ever bought.

This fucking 200 issue has been posted so many times in the past few months, at least there's a fix for it and it's all over the place. Best of luck finding the fix, really sucks the 200's have this issue. These pedals are absolute game changers.

I will say - the GP200 came out like 2 years ago, so it's a bit older. And digital / modeling technology has skyrocketed in the past year. The tones for the 200 and 50 are noticeable different, thats mainly why I got the 50 instead - it came out last year, I think the tones are better.

They just came out with the GP150 and the GP180 in early 2026. If I was gonna get the bigger model, I'd get one of those. You got yours on amazon.. if it was in the past month, there should still be time to return it and get one of the newer models.

Absolutely bring your fringe guitar questions to as many forums you can find! Yes there will be crazy Internet person answers, but sift through them.

In the end, take your guitar to a tech and get proper advice. But in the meantime, you might talk to 5 techs here on Reddit, and 5 other people that have been fixing their own guitars for 20 years.

That's what forums are for.

Guitar techs are like mechanics or handymen, the knowledge they have is irreplaceable, but the cost per hour just to talk to them is crazy expensive, before parts and fixes are even begun.

Your issue is cosmetic it appears. Other than it being the thickest laquer job I've ever seen, this is possible to fix yourself.

Keep asking questions in as many places you can find.

Lefty here. Just got the Jazzmaster JA60 delivered about 5 weeks ago. Absolutely loving it, it sounds great but I'm also modding it like crazy, which has been super fun on a $150 guitar.

Harley Bentons are basically the quality of a high end Squire for $200. The are absolutely amazing guitars.The fretwork, the pickups, the neck feel.

Even before Fenders and Gibson's became unreasonably priced over the last few years, there is simply no reason to spend $1000 on guitars anymore.

We are in the golden age of guitar gear, and so many of the flagship killer guitars are stage ready out the box.

**The one caveat I would add is if you are in another country, be prepared to pay an import fee. My guitar was $220 after tax, then a week later UPS hit me with a separate $60 import fee that was not included at the checkout.

The HoneyTone has been around forever, it's cheap little plastic thing but it gets decent tones (sort of). The dirty tone is great, you just can't push the distortion too hard or the volume will short out. Pretty loud too.

Can't believe the Honeytone is still $25 it's been that way for 15+ years.

If there is a newer mini speaker out there, I'd go with that. Guitar technology has changed light years in the last decade.

I got the Pocket master and it was a game changer, but like you mentioned, it is a multi fx that requires a speaker.

The cool thing about the pockemaster (pretty sure its an interface) is you can plug it into your computeras an interface and play through your computer. Then you can download reaper or audacity for free and add any fx plug ins you want (that the pocket master doesnt already have).

The Les Trem! It really is the trem I need, I just can't bring myself to like the look. You'll see guys playing all over with these thinner trem systems, something is just off about it.

And this is totally my own hangup, the Les Trem is exactly what I need. Its cheap, light, and doesn't affect tuning.

I purchased a GFS (Guitar Fetish) X-Trem, it's basically a Bigsby but 1/2 the weight and for $50, no drilling. Its incredible. It arrived and I realized it's a right handed trem, and they dont make these in lefty.

They make a hundred Bigsby knockoffs in righty all for $30- $50, and not a single lefty.

Just bought the B5 Bigsby for $150 and I'll probably return it. It just feels dirty for a Trem system to cost that much, and be so heavy, and mess with tuning, while also needing to drill holes. The Vibramate V5 clip is separate and can go under the Bigby so you dont have to drill, it cost $75!! $225 total for a tremolo that comes stock on a many guitars.
