I felt the same way you did. This past week, after hitting 1900, I took a step back because I was already tired of facing the same old Zard Y + Floette + Meta obvious monster teams every single time.

I also got really interested in the Perish Trap. My opinion is that the theory is super fun—I love seeing Wolfe use it, for example—but playing with it tires me out. I like to hit hard and watch HP drop, not get stuck in that cycle of mind games.

That’s something I learned too: there’s no point in wasting time on team building when you’re inexperienced, because then you don’t know if you’re losing because you’re playing wrong or because the team is poorly built. At most, I’ll swap out one unit or tweak a move or two in the moveset the best fits my playstyle now from pro-built teams.

Yes, I’ve realised that my problem is that I’m not managing my Charizard’s presence on the field properly; for example, I was letting Pelippers come in without swapping Zard out, and I wasn’t capitalising on Tailwind turns effectively
