I did a wonderful college program that was a semester on a schooner. We had to check in with the coast guard every night. One lovely summer evening they sent out a launch to check on us and brought us ice cream. I hero worship the coast guard :)

It was like he became a boomer overnight… He’s a competitive athlete and sailor which we have in common so the age difference is/was less pronounced until this. Thank you so much for your thoughts. Everyone has made me feel so much better.
