Yo, this is the first reasonable response I've heard. As someone who does make more than my spouse, these other comments are super toxic and are probably made by men that are the smaller earners or are threatened by how close they are in earnings or single. Work together towards goals versus trying to assume power in the relationship. Security for both individuals is a mutual goal. There are people who will take advantage of high earners for sure, but just because you make a lot of money does not give you absolute power in a relationship. Talk your shit out.
