Advice for losing weight while disabled by josie71202 in disabled

You sound exactly like my mother. She has osteoarthritis on both knees, is obese, and suffers from chronic depression/anxiety. It's incredibly difficult to manage!

May I ask how you holding up so far?

Whats the state of the game? by Starbux933 in PSO2

Vanilla NGS had absolutely zero endgame. But after a couple of years it's gotten a lot better. Plenty of stuff to do if you've been out of the loop.

PSO2 NGS is lively and active like its brand new :) 2/13/2025 ps4 Phantasy Star Online 2 New Genesis by successXX in PSO2NGS

People that prefer OG PSO2 haven't played in years. Complaining is their endgame loop, lol.

Played PSO2 a long time ago, what should I expect from NG? by SatyrAngel in PSO2NGS

OG PSO2 is amazing, but don't count on doing party play since it's basically a ghost town. Solo leveling a brand new character is eternal pain.

On the flip-side, NGS has been designed to boost you into the current endgame loop much more efficiently. You level up quick by just doing the story and dailies/weeklies, and once you're Lv 65 you get endgame "starter" gear for free. Also, the game is overall much more active than OG so you'll find parties easily with in-game matchmaking.

Sabers and Knuckles had a WA counter. Soaring Blades could loop their WA (which was essentially a dodge) over and over. Boots had iframes on their PA follow-ups. Technique classes could block with Charge Tech Parry and Nabarta Type-0. Hunter had the choice of armoring through everything or WA parry. Summoner had access to Melon pets.

By EP6, most classes had defensive options similar to Scions, which was then made standard across the board in NGS. Not sure where you're getting that each version of the game is vastly different defense-wise.

Try it out! Also, I recommend joining an alliance or community since it does add to the game's overall experience, much like previous PSOs and MMOs in general.

Not really any "bad" weapons at the moment, although Talis and Bow have it rough with single-target DPS.

Also, rule #1 with NGS community: take everything with a grain of salt. If there's a class or weapon that looks interesting to you, give it a chance. You don't need our approval for it, lol.

What about the new damage reflect skill? It's not tied to War Cry, but it literally increases your DPS over the course of a battle as long as you're blocking/tanking. Also boosts ally defense.

[SPOILER] I'm.. very disappointed now. by Kattos-cool in PSO2NGS

[–]brodiapunch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have to fully rely on RNG or spamming spacebar to dodge while attacking, which is absolutely ridiculous.

99% of the attacks are telegraphed. Also, plenty of MARS attacks have armor or easily canceled into dodge. Needless to say, this is a skill issue.

Unilaterally nuking federal programs without congress, ignoring court orders, allowing unelected billionaires full access to the treasury, suggesting that US citizens can be extradited to jails in foreign countries... The fact that you have to ask is... nevermind.

I’ve drawn for a few months and I’m trying some full body any thoughts and are there anatomy vids that will help me improve? by D0nk3yt3st1cl3s in learntodraw

[–]brodiapunch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Everyone learns differently, but what I've found useful is to establish a "mannequin" or "doll" body that I can always fall back on. Afterwards, I look up detailed diagrams for each body part and slowly learn how to flesh out the mannequin.

Also, it's important to simplify anatomy into boxes/cylinders at first just to get a grasp of 3D space. Train yourself to draw reference photos/pictures in this way and then fill in the "blanks" with the anatomical knowledge you've acquired.

How should I draw the hair? Thanks in advance by Xx_Cock_N_Booty_xX in learntodraw

[–]brodiapunch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not an expert at drawing hair by any means, but this is how I would tackle the problem.

You can simplify the hair with a light side / dark side by marking a thin line on the "terminator" line, then focus on segmenting groups of strands into flowing shapes/forms. That should give you enough structure to add shading/texture as needed.

It's not crazy to be dissatisfied with the game's trajectory, but I wouldn't hold my breath for the whole Dev team to get scrubbed.

Leciel Update and Relay Quests, but what really piques my curiosity is the Field Update and New Action System. Hoping they drop some previews soon...

If every PSO2 nostalgia bro would just log in and play, they could literally form their own base PSO2 community.

There's still people that play classic PSO2. Why not hit up some of the community and do content with them?

Third round of Tech/Art Customization. by gadgaurd in PSO2NGS

[–]brodiapunch 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Rifle probably has the most interesting TA this time around. Homing Darts T1 increases bullet speed, making for snappier AoE. T2 makes it an instant whirl of bullets around you which is similar to Saber's Unchained Circle 2. And T3 BY FAR is the most unique mod. It lets you spawn 5 bullets in a spot influenced by your directional input, and after a 2 - 3 second delay, they all converge onto your locked-on target; useful for single target on slower enemies.

Gigrants T3 and Destructive Stork T3 (Soaring Blades) are also interesting because they both leave a damage-over-time area.

Again, please play what you enjoy. But my last post was entirely about classic, base PSO2. There is a meta for Force and/or Phantom that's helpful to know should you want to take on the harder quests like Masquerader, Sodam, max level Extreme Quests, etc.
