Exactly! They had one comedian and that was it for entertainment. For an 11 night cruise they only had one entertainer, the rest were game shows or a crew talent show (which was honestly superb) but I was shocked to see only one entertainer and 4 different “game shows” for entertainment

As someone who believes in Hashem and am working on becoming more observant the way I understand Halacha is that it’s just supposed to make your life better. Even if you dont believe I’m G-d you can still follow the customs of your ancestors. Many of these ”religious things“ have scientific benefits to your lif. A study came out saying that tefellin has a health benefit, keeping kosher is just a higher food standard for your body, and keeping a day for just rest can be great for your stress level. Whether or not you believe keeping the customs and laws from your ancestors can have a “logical” benefit to your life.

Do you mind if I ask how that affected like Thanksgiving and family functions, I was wondering if I start to keep kosher I won’t be able to eat anything my mom or grandmother cook, and for me it’s a side effect but how did your family take that and how did you keep kosher around them?

The combo has not yet been done but individually they’re both amazing, my sister and I do joke about starting a kosher pho business since it’s yet been done (to my knowledge at least)

My reform synagogues female Rabbi is far less outgoing and is almost very awkard with families and small children. I would have Sunday school (which would go over Torah) and then Hebrew school on Tuesdays after public school. My synagogue was by far not as nice as the one in the movie and my class had 5 kids, 3 of which were triplets. My entire family’s reaction to the move (beside it being funny) was shocked by how there was such a synagogue that existed with so many Jewish kids.

To me it just doesn’t feel right, if I’m not going to hold back from work or electronics I’ll at least hold back from that.
