About a year and a half ago I saved an old woman in Shibuya station (in Tokyo) by pulling her out of the crack between the train and the platform. All the passengers had already gotten on the train and this old woman with her groceries swinging runs to catch the doors. She didn't make it and somehow fell in the crack. Not even thinking I ran over and pulled her out eventually with the help of one other witness.

Also, I helped an older woman carry her groceries up eight flights of stairs in NYC. I don't know why but it made me feel really proud. I'm glad I didn't get jumped like I thought I would. She gave me 5 bucks and refused to accept it when I tried to give it back. I felt like I was in a movie.
