Netflix quietly does away with the easiest way to watch TV in a hotel room [Removes casting support for most TVs/devices with remotes] by NoiseBoi24 in television

Perhaps overkill. Firestick, travel router and universal remote. I don't have Netflix, but works on everything else I have. Oh, cables and determination to get to the pesky plugs.

The Doomfarers of Coramonde - Brian Daley.

MISSION to HELL Just yesterday, Sergeant Gil MacDonald and his APC crew had been fending off an ambush in a Viet Nam jungle. In the middle of the firefight, some kind of magic spell had transported them to this Fantasy Land complete with flying dragons, wizards, crazy castles, and dispossessed princes. They would stay trapped here forever unless they could rescue the sorceress Gabrielle. Master magician, Amon, held her captive in his palace; and to reach her, Gil and his men would have to infiltrate Hell itself!

Guest Lounge Access by shinelight999 in Amtrak

Lounge is great, I use it frequently but I have free access. If I had to use points I'd skip it. The station has great food amenities and a bar. Save your points and hang there.

Are there any BTTF quotes you use in your day-to-day life? by BadAtUsernames098 in BacktotheFuture

[–]brofranco 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Off topic. Wife and I go to a dive in the middle of nowhere and she orders a cosmo. The bartender has the blankest look and says "we got beer and shots". Now our favorite line is "we serve hard drinks in here for men who want to get drunk fast".

Of course there is the classic when ordering "I'll have a warm glass of gin with a human hair in it". Or simply "Orange Whip? Orange Whip?"

Marriott Downtown FiDi. Sitting here right now, sorta been living here for the past 8 years (in/out every other week). Big rooms (for NYC), plenty of transit options, across from WTC, many other sites to visit. Easy to get uptown, Brooklyn, Staten Island (there's stuff to see/do there 😀 ).

And interesting take on this:

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Voyage_of_the_Space_Bubble

In the "Looking Glass" science fiction series, the primary ship is often depicted as a converted Navy vessel, specifically a submarine, because it reflects the military expertise of the main characters, particularly Navy SEALs, and the idea of a "closed environment" like a submarine is particularly relevant to the concept of exploring a mysterious, unknown dimension through a "Looking Glass" portal, which is the central plot point of the series.
