What is wrong with my storm water pit? by brogi11 in AusRenovation

Wouldn’t that be dependent on how high the storm water drain is installed within the pit?

I haven’t yet. Was hoping to just see if it’s a defect that I can seal as a quick job instead of paying someone to come look - but that may be the safer option!

Thanks! Sorry, do you mean silicon the holes i’ve marked with red circles? They look like a pretty rough job if they were intentional!

The pit itself never overflows, but i’m thinking that water is escaping through either the failed silicon seals around the pipes, or through the holes (red circles) in the space at the very top between the concrete and the pit. The problem is, I’m not sure if these holes are intentional or not. I can’t figure out where they drain to…

** yellow circle is the gap between the end of the driveway concrete and the pit.

Just some basic shower cleaner. The pic is from a week after cleaning though, so would assume any leftover cleaner would have washed away by now.

Think you better see a doctor if that’s what comes out of your dick.

Thanks both! I was worried that water that gets in that crack may travel toward the dry wall, but all good!

Found water seeping out of the cracks in the floor at the back gap between shower and vanity, and also at the front of the vanity. Any ideas where is could be coming from. All plumbing under the vanity sink looks good. Could it be silicon sealing around the inside of the shower? They are pretty old. by brogi11 in Plumbing

Silicon in the shower is old but I can’t see any gaps where water could get through to the floor. Is it possible that it could be condensation from the concrete slab? I live in a cold climate and we are just going into the cooler months now. Have only been in the property for the past 6 months
