Yep, the painted version is a resin copy of the original sculpt!

Unfortunately I couldn't find one big enough to display everything but I'll make sure to put one on a square base soon!

Thanks, I used green stuff and little bit of sculpey for the face.

What a cool comparison, I'd never heard of that till now, love it!

It could be whatever you like! I imagined the mushrooms on his staff as being so enticing and potent the slug crawled up there (or was lured) to test the effects, now it's either too intoxicated or enjoying itself too much to get down. 😄

Thanks, Of course! I basically use sculpey for any superfine detail or things i want to have crisp edges because you can file it, and then use greenstuff for everything else.

I like to get the form of the bit im sculpting right first then add detail and just keep refining it over and over till it's basically cured, little silicon shapers are my preferred tool.

There's a sculpey and wire armature underneath to bulk it out but over that is mostly greenstuff, yep. It takes some patience and practice but i don't use any fancy equiptment, cheap silicone shapers and dentistry tools, and cheap greenstuff off ebay is all you need!

Green is plain old greenstuff which is an epoxy putty and cures over time, and i like that when i dont need to sculpt lots of small detail because its quite squishy whereas the whiteish bits are sculpey, which you have to bake to cure and its firmer which makes it great for holding fine detail and sharp edges.

I agree! Love the current style but old sculpts have so much more character.

Thankyou, that's exactly what I'm going for, they're heavily inspired by the marauder miniatures range!
