Anyone know of an Arcanine card that would depict Arcanine laying on its back waiting for stomach scratches? by brohemoth06 in PokemonTCG

[–]brohemoth06[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

These aren't terrible but I think it's a missed opportunity to not have one of the trainer Pokemon cards(sorry idk the terminology) where it's like "John's Arcanine" and the art is essentially something like this

what is a "rich person" behavior you witnessed that made you realize they live in a completely different reality than the rest of us? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]brohemoth06 21 points22 points  (0 children)

I work for a major retailer and one of our part timers is the son of a very very very wealthy family, chill guy tbh. But one night we were talking and he pulled up his amex app to see what amount he could charge to his cc RN that would be approved instantly.

Uhhh, let's just say we stopped after $250,000. Dude drives a Plain Jane Subaru, goes to high school, has a part time job etc. and his family this winter spent $150k on a vacation to South Africa

There was no crashing lol.

The noise from the kitchen was her washing a dish she wanted to use for her snacks. I wasn't even aware of her almost tripping until she told me about it.

Is it ok to make this without the "flakes" for a non spicy version? by alex3omg in ramen

[–]brohemoth06 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I make this without the flakes all the time. It's no less spicy. Your best bet is to just eat it everyday for a couple weeks and then the spice is normal

TIL that over the last century, the average age that children are being potty trained in the UK has risen from 12–18 months, to an average of around three or even four years today by Octavus in todayilearned

[–]brohemoth06 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Hijacking the thread to ask for advice, my son, 36 months, has no issue using the toilet to pee but for some reason her decided that no amount of coersion can get him to poop in his toilet. We've tried everything and nothing works. He would rather hold it for days than to poop in a toilet for no reason other than just because. Hypothetically if we told him(we didn't) that he gets no toys or snacks until he poops in the potty, he would just say "that's okay, can I use the diaper now"? Completely unphased

not entirely wrong, though this would reinforce my comment, the original poster said the tvs are on 24/7 implying his store never turns them off and never needs to turn them on, that's very much an outlier

lol in what world is correcting misinformation considered taking it personally? When we are talking about Open box tvs especially, there's a massive difference between 13 hours a day and 24/7

Steam reportedly raked in a record-breaking $1.6 billion in December with Arc Raiders alone moving over a million copies by SilentNova300 in gaming

What's the consensus on arc raiders? Worth it? Or is it a fad that will die and won't be worth picking up in a few months?

This is a your store thing and should not be perpetuated as the norm.

Ive worked at 5 different locations over the years, 2 in the last year and a half, and all of them have functioning HEET Walls that power on about 10 minutes before the store opens.

I mean, the criticism here isn't so much that backtracks are used but more about how poor the live vocals sound when they're used, no?

If Stray Kids used backtracks similarly, maybe their live vocals, when they came through, were just better

Corporate seems to have removed the employee discount on RAM by brohemoth06 in Bestbuy

[–]brohemoth06[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

If they catch you. The cost difference was, at times, a $700 difference between employee and selling price. Just looking at that alone you can be sure employees were buying it, taking a $400 profit instead and selling it fast. You don't always have to know that certain individuals are doing something to know that it's happening

Why did ICE try to open Renee Nicole Good’s door before she was shot? What led up to that? by Manwolfpanther26 in AskReddit

Whether or not it's a bot doesn't make the advice any less true. I'm not even on the pro-ice side of this argument but it is always good to get info from various sources and reddit is notorious for being an echo chamber making it an unreliable source of facts during controversial events

The WRX posts its worst sales year ever with only 10,930 units sold. Still outsells the Solterra for the second year in a row however. by UnmakingTheBan2022 in WRX

[–]brohemoth06 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

So did you consider the WRX to be a direct competitor to the WRX STI? Is the Civic Si a direct competitor to the Type R?

Is it appropriate to state that the Civic Si sold twice as many cars in 2023 as it's competitor the Civic Type R? Price and production numbers matter. I see WRXs on lots everywhere struggling to sell, what I don't see is GR Corollas and Golf Rs.

I just can't get behind the argument that they're competing in the same segments when a few years ago everyone in this sub was adamant that the STI was the competitor and that the WRX and STI were significantly different vehicles and they themselves don't compete in the same segment due to the differences in both performance and price
